This Sunday around 4AM someone lit our trashcans on fire. There are at least two children in the room closest to the flames and our room above. This is the second fire we've had on our street in the last couple months. Thank goodness we all happen to pull up as the second trash can had started to burn too. Brandon was quick to put it out right as the fire department was pulling up. Fire department was there within mins from our call and a big thanks to them! Everyone should be aware of this happening in our neighborhood! This was off the two main roads La Cienega and Olympic. @somekindalife @dohenyphoto #lacienegablvd#olympicblvd#midcityla#la#hollywood#beverlyhills#fire#keepsafe#eyesopen#neighborhoodwatch
🚔~YOUR IMAGE IS KEEPING YOU SAFE!~🛃
My aunt and uncle came to visit me this midsummer weekend. Under no circumstances am I allowed to post a picture of them on here. While I explain them they didn't do anything for KGB to be after them, keep on reading.
Thinking you are protected if you aren't anywhere online is a caveman mindset, really. If someone kidnaps you for their human trafficking purposes, maybe your mom will notice you disappeared after like a couple of weeks. The police won't trace you, as you never send anyone a message on Facebook to where you were going, didn't check in on Swarm and didn't post a selfie on Instagram. Furthermore, if someone is planning to do you harm and they check out your Instagram, they will see how many friends and colleagues you've got. It will stop them, as they will clearly realize that hundreds of people will search for you. If you aren't 'connected', however, you are a way easier target, more assailable and defenseless. .
It's the VISIBILITY that gives you the genuine security. Yes, the intruders can see your location. But they can find you in the offline world anyway. So if they do, it's better to have a robust magical shield around you: YOUR IMAGE, consisting of the powers of your friends, family, and colleagues.
I've always known that, but moving to Sweden made this belief as solid as a rock. Everyone here is super visible, as everyone is obliged to have a personal number. Everything, from banking services to a membership in a cosmetics shop, is connected to this number. In Sweden you can google anyone's name and you'll get their age, address, with who they live and other info on hitta.se. In Sweden you can check anyone's criminal record on lexbase.se. You don't have to be scared and hide behind 1000 locks. And I can't describe how secure it feels!
