I received a few questions from the last tile install time lapse about our process. So here goes another time lapse that explains things. We normally would like to have our walls rest on top of our floor. Even with good thin set that could be a lot of weight until it’s cured. Or a day waiting for the thin set to cure on the floor so we could install walls. So we mount a ledger to the wall and tile most of the wall first. Then the floor. Then the final 12” down to the floor. With the @schlutersystemsna Kerdi we can make a small patch in the waterproofing to repair our ledger holes in minutes. No waiting, no sag, no extra pressure on the floor.
THATS A WRAAAPP!! Another happy customer!! Thank you so much @jacdirects! This project came out amazing! We got back ordered on shower tile till Wednesday, so stay tuned for more beauty shots next week! We took this kitchen down to the studs and laid @schlutersystemsna #ditra under the new tile floor, new backsplash, sink, faucet, outlets, and plumbing. New shower tile with #kerdi waterproofing membrane and niche, mantle, sliding barn door and refinished floors! Thanks to @sirsalamander for all the hard work and @greenhaus for all the awesome reclaimed wood! #musicbox1532#barntotable#remodel#reclaimedwood#tilelife
