I don’t think I’ve had bread since we were in France 🇫🇷 (so like June lol).
Bread in France is totally different than the stuff here...it’s made fresh daily, the wheat isn’t sprayed with roundup, and it’s not full of preservatives.
That being said, I did get a breakfast sandwich at Panera. With extra avocado 🥑 because 🥑 = life 🤗

I had to go halfway across the world to meet my hubby. We met in Senegal 🇸🇳 (where he’s from) right after I finished college. We were just babies but knew we would be getting married right after we met! 2 months after we started dating we were engaged and married 3 months after that. Back in 2010 🤗

Did you know that the French eat four times as much butter as Americans do and 60% more cheese?? Yet they are definitely way thinner than Americans!! .
Fat does not make you fat--but sugar DOES. I include a healthy fat source in every single meal--eggs cooked in butter, olive oil on my veggies, avocados on my salad, etc! #eatmorefat
IngredientsCREAMED SPINACH1large bag of spinach leaves4ounces cream cheese¼cup shredded parmesan cheese2cloves garlic, minced3tablespoons red onion, minced2tablesppons olive oilSalt and pepper to tasteSAUTEED MUSHROOMS8 ounce package of mushrooms, sliced½stick butter2tablespoons olive oil½cup white wine2cloves garlic, mincedSalt and pepper to tasteCHICKEN4-5boneless chicken breasts8-10slices Mozzarella cheese, cut into ⅛ inch slices1tablespoon garlic powder1tablespoon seasoned salt, like Lawry’s1teaspoon pepper
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Sprinkle the garlic powder, seasoned salt, and pepper on both sides of the chicken. Bake for 16 minutes. Meanwhile, make the creamed spinach. Over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons olive oil in a skillet. Add in the onions and saute 2-3 minutes. Add in the spinach and garlic. It will shrink ridiculously. When it’s cooked through, stir in the cream cheese and parmesan cheese. Continue cooking and stirring until the cream cheese is melted. Remove from heat. For the mushrooms, melt butter and 2 tablespoons olive oil in a skillet. Put the mushrooms in and cook until browned all over. Don’t season with salt until they are browned or they will never brown. Deglaze the pan with the wine. Add in the garlic and season with salt and pepper. Cook until most of the wine is cooked out. Serve the chicken with some of the mushrooms and spinach on top.

Progress pic. Remember that nutrition is going to be the battle--exercise is an added bonus! So many women over emphasize exercise, which while is awesome for you, can make you overcompensate by sitting more during the day and overeating! .

My workouts have def changed since I dislocated my ribs...I haven't done anything high impact at all. I'm focused on movement just to feel good, not to get ripped or anything. I'm cool with it. I don't ever want to go through that pain ever again (worse than giving birth!) so walking/hiking, biking, rollerblading, yoga, and strength training is my jam.
Just 10-15 min of yoga and I feel like a new woman!! What's your workout today?

Eating carbs like a bagel or cereal will spike your blood sugar and cause you to be hungry soon after! This combo will keep me full for hours!!

Some days you're too busy to sit down for a real meal...does that mean fast food? NO!
Things I add to my superfood shake--almond milk, MCT oil, power greens, focused energy, and enough ice to make it ice cream =)
