Today, I felt like lunch 😲 Having last night's leftovers--chicken curry with Edamame noodles. These noodles have 11g net carbs per serving, but they're so filling that it's difficult to even eat that much. We got them at Costco and I would definitely recommend them if you aren't super strict about staying VLC.
Whipped up this creamy chocolate banana coconut smoothie this morning using @rootznutrition #Paleo Protein #Superfood blend.
One of the things I teach my clients is how to build a balanced smoothie that works to stabilize blood sugar, activate full metabolic function, support lean muscle build and digest well. Finding a high quality protein powder is a key part of this. In addition to that, adding a few booster foods to increase #micronutrients , activate metabolism + increase energy. This blend not only contains 15g of #protein , it also contains tons of my favorite boosters. Some of which include maca, bee pollen, spirulina, chlorella, chia, flax and hemp.
To make this smoothie combine...
1 serving of @rootznutrition Chocolate Banana Nut protein
1 heaping tbsp. cashew or almond butter
1/3 frozen banana
1 cup canned coconut milk
1 tsp. cacao
Handful of ice
Blend + top with coconut flakes

I love cold drinks in the summer. This didn't disappoint...thanks for the recipe @myketodad I didn't use heavy whipping cream and it was still like a smoothie. So for a lighter version omit the cream, but I do want to try it sometime, it sounds bomb.
This is my #weightloss for the year so far. Kicked complete ass in the beginning of the year and got slammed with the worst anxiety I've had in years. Was throwing up several times a day, literally soaked in sweat taking 3+ showers/baths a day and still soaking through clothes within 10-15 minutes of getting out, unable to sleep, anxiety rash and bad hives all down my arms for over a month (super embarrassing), nauseous all day long to the point of taking 3 pregnancy tests. It was bad. And there wasn't anything logically "wrong". By that point I had stopped working out and was just doing everything I could do make it through my days. Sabatoging my weight loss by binging and snacking and knowing I was stuffed and still going. I gained a stupid amount back in a very short time period and had enough so I started keto at the beginning of June after dabbling in it on and off. My dad came to visit at the end of April and made me all of my favorite meals of his and I pigged out for a week. I continued to gain at the beginning because I was still trying to make myself okay, meanwhile making the bad decision to night snack on goldfish and shit every single night. Like seriously....how fed up do I have to be with myself to get my shit straight? .
So this month I've had my head in the right place. I haven't night snacked really except the GoT premiere where it was basically dinner because I hadn't eaten any meal that day or iced coffee because it's my 155 calorie 2g nc dessert when I feel like snacking. I've eaten a lot more strictly, and been a lot more consistent with hydration and exercising. I have 6-7lb to get back to my lowest weight this year but I'm heading in the right direction and it gets easier and easier to make healthy decisions and not want to eat poorly.
As I was hustling my bustle to get to @soulcycle I whipped up this smoothie and added ice cubes - jeez that was so easy and made it creamier and colder with this warm weather. On my way to class, I got a sinking feeling that I left the cacao nibs within Kabuki's reach 🤦🏻♀️ so had to run back and check ! Thankfully/miraculously she didn't get into it but no spin for me 😩 again these macros aren't ideal but it all works by the end of the day 😜

I didn't weigh in last week because my water weight was bouncing around after my surgical procedure and I didn't want the scale to bring me down. I am thrilled the scale no longer has that power over me and I can calmly use it as the tool it is intended to be.
I'm so close to 50lbs lost and that is my next scale related goal. I can't believe I'm almost half way to my end goal of 100lbs lost. I'm a bit late to the party cause I was eating breakfast at my leisure AND browsing the broadsheets aka Instagram 😂 BUT is everyone familiar with Terry's chocolate orange? I'm not a huge chocolate fan but I'll get a hankering for it once in a while and I used to TEAR those things up. This morning, I decided to deviate from my usual recipe for incorporating Keto OS (mentioned in an earlier post) into my diet, since drinking it alone is just not an option. I mixed 1 scoop of #ketoOS with a little bit more than a cup of almond milk, 2 tbsps of my protein powder (I used Garden of Life raw organic Fit in chocolate but any vanilla or chocolate protein powder will work fine), a scant scoop of KetoOS and a generous dollop of heavy cream. Blend well. I used my Ninja for a full minute, just for reference. You'll still taste the bitterness of the ascorbic acid (orange flavor) in the back of your throat, which is a bit distracting (so be mindful of that) but it is for all intents and purposes a ketogenic Terry's Chocolate Orange drink. When I put together keto recipes, I'm not trying to mimic the taste of other things (imho that's setting yourself up for failure) but rather just drawing inspiration from them. #keto#ketogenic#lowcarb#lowcarbhighfat#itsworking#joinme
RANT POST: if you don't feel like reading then keep scrolling! Not only do I love Beyoncé more than anything but I think this picture speaks for itself. This is my second round doing ketogenic diet and for some reason this round is so much harder. The first time I did this diet I was strict, albeit a bit obsessive but the weight came off and I felt good. This time around I've cheated a couple times, been lazy, and gave into cravings. I'm not sure why this round is so hard but I need help, so I'm asking you #ketofam to help me out. I'm tiny and need to lose around 30 lbs. I put the low carb tortillas in the freezer because I don't think they're helping me (and I'm super sick of them). I need help staying on track, planning meals, and keeping my goals in my focal point. I'm so tired with how I look and how I feel and I know if I keep cheating and eating poorly these habits will continue and the weight will keep coming. Today my gut is in turmoil from eating bread/pasta and ice cream from last night. As good as it tasted last night, the pain today is not worth it.
