Carnivore Diet / Zero Carb Diet is continually surprising me. You would think it is overly restrictive and you would get bored of it. However day after day, I am just looking forward to cooking and eating more meat. You can have a joint of lamb slow cooking throughout the day, then crush it until it is finished. Or if you are less organised, grab a handful of mince, shape it and throw it on a skillet. 15 minutes later you are stuffed. There is something very primal about just eating meat, something inside you just seems warm and fuzzy like your body is giving you a big hug. EAT A DAMN STEAK EVERYONE!!!

I’m getting my rower soon and I’m really excited. As soon as I do, I’m going to do 30 straight days of rowing to see how much I can improve.

My favorite part about completing the #ocrbeastchallenge @ocrbeast.co Day 11 was playing around on the fat and skinny grips in the squat rack.  I'm definitely the happiest when I'm monkeying around.  Back to the #deadhangchallenge....I was trying to hang unbroken but I just couldn't pull it out. My 2:40 hang went something like this....1:45 hang, dropped, 47s hang, dropped, 8s hang to finish strong.  Look, you can even see my baby quad in my #aclreconstruction leg😊....EXCITING!!!!

#ACL progress report...I can't believe how far I've come in such a short amount of time (12 days post op). Yesterday my flexion was 126°, at PT Thursday I was 122°...Today I measured 131°🤗. I've gained almost 10° flexion in 3 days and I'm indoor cycling 10 minutes twice a day.  Why am I so excited?  Three years ago when I had surgery on my right ACL/MCL I didn't reach that kind of flexion until 7 weeks post op.  This #aclrecovery is hands down better than I could have hoped for.  I can't wait for Tuesday's therapy session.

It’s Sunday morning and I haven’t done anything productive. My kids are playing with each other. I’m binge watching Marvel’s ‘Runaways’ and scrolling through my Instagram feed. I’m not even hungry but I made these 2 fried eggs with ground bison, sausage crumbles and shredded cheese. Is this real life?

Bloating, gas, GI troubles, flus, colds, inflammation, joint pain, allergies, depression and anxiety...These are all things that are non-existent or better than ever on a carnivorous diet. I will also add that I’ve been more strict with my carnivorous diet the last few months and I keep dropping weight, yet my InBody test showed that I’ve added 2 lbs of skeletal muscle mass. 🙌🏽 Did everyone hear Dr. Shawn Bakers (@shawnbaker1967) interview on @joerogan? Having a frustrating morning.  I’m doing all the right things and the scale is just refusing to get there with me.  Urgggg.  This week I’m averaging 147.8lb, which is almost 5lbs heavier than my usual weight in the past three months - and I’m eating less and on deeper Keto.  It’s super frustrating but I’m channeling that energy to introducing more discipline into next week.  I’ll be on a business trip to Tokyo for the week, and this time I’m meal-prepping (for the first time) and bringing all the food with me.  Keep doing the right thing and hopefully one day success will come.  Appreciate any positive thoughts my way!  #ketogenicathlete #keto #ketogenic #keepdoingtherightthing #mealprep

Sausage Balls
These are our favorite. We think they taste better than the bisquick version
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
1 16 oz roll pork sausage 
1 cup almond flour
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar
1 tablespoon baking POWDER
I use a stand mixer with the dough hook. Mix on low until all ingredients are well combined but not overmixed. Use a small scoop or tablespoon, place sausage balls on a large parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake 375 degrees 30-35 minutes.
Made 24 sausage balls, a little under 1 carb each. Always calculate your own carbs, brands can vary.

Day 9 of the #ocrbeastchallenge @ocrbeast.co.  I was hoping to have an unbroken hung ...didn't happen today.  I managed 1:40 before I dropped then finished the last 40s.  I did however make it down the steps with one crutch and back up with just holding the handrail so I feel like a winner💪😊. I'll take that!

It’s good to know that I can eat 25 oz of meat and wake up the next day with blood sugar at 79.2 mg/dl and blood ketones at 5.3 mmol/l. This last month of hypertrophy is relatively high protein (right around 0.95 x my lean mass in lbs), but the Fat is still high, so I feel much better than I did on the first high protein month.
