*Friday Night Strength Training*
DEADLIFTS! 135x5, 225x5, 275x3, 315x1, 335x1 *video*, 350x1 *failed*, ((135x5)x10). My back wasn't as straight in my 335 rep as I would've liked it to have been. As soon as I tightened up for the pull on the 350 I knew it wasn't coming off the ground. No worries though. I added 35 pounds to my last 1RM so I'm happy. The 10 sets of 5 at the end weren't very fun, but it'll all pay off. I really focused on engaging my hamstrings for every lift today. Good stuff! .

What do SILICON VALLEY EXECS KNOW that you don’t? 
FASTING AND INTERMITTENT FASTING is all the rage theses days. Proper fasting clearly works wonderfully for some people and can deliver some awesome benefits. I’ve heard some great success stories about fasting dramatically helping and healing patients from Dr. Jason Feng and others. 
But in my mind, fasting is simply one tool on the path to human longevity, peak performance, optimal health. And I believe it, on the whole, to be greatly inferior to a properly executed and devised Ketogenic lifestyle nutrition progrom — the latter being much more mindful of reducing sugar loads, stabilizing insulin and hormone levels, reducing toxins and chemicals in the body IN THE LONG TERM. 
Because you can Fast but your body typically still won’t long-term switch over to being Fat-adapted and using fat as its primary fuel. And that, my friends, is the Gold Standard in my opinion. Someone will fast but their body will still be hard-wired and trained to primarily run on glucose (and that is a HUGE problem in my mind). Huge. 
Keto (and even most adhering to Keto don’t do keto properly, from my perspective) ... but a well-devised and executed Keto provides mostly All Day, Year-Round benefits and relatively low glucose levels.. but also does NOT deprive people of food (which sets many people up for binge eating and regaining the weight and bodyfat in the future). Fasting is a wonderful tool, absolutely ... and worth implementing if you want to detox and reset your body from all the gook, pollutions, heavy metals, etc... that collect inside us. Keto is not a “Fast for Five Days” and then eat all the sugary and chemical crap model ... Keto is about making the right choices hour-by-hour, day-by-day ... and keeping sugar and carbs (which are in most cases basically de facto sugar) at the lowest levels you can handle and feel comfortable with. 
So again ... fasting is one tool in the toolbox and might make for a wonderful complement to KETO but it’s not TOP OF THE PYRAMID stuff.

Pretty much planned out my running races for 2018, I will only announce them once properly booked though just in case things change. I am going for a mixture of PB hunting races and new experiences on trails / hills. Even though I hate hills haha.

Hay días que me gusta ir al gym y salir pronto. Para estás ocasiones hago rutinas que involucren un poco de cardio, aparte de que odio el cardio "tradicional" ,  y trabajar muchos músculos al mismo tiempo. Esta forma es más efectiva esta forma para quemar grasa y ganar condición ❇️ 12 repeticiones de desplantes  con cada pierna con dumbbell upright-row ❇️ 12 repeticiones del ejercicio compuesto por  dumbbell sumó squat+plank+ row de cada brazo+ curl bicep+ press de hombro❇️ 1 minuto de saltar la cuerda tan rápido como puedas. Hunger was better today. Felt more like I did on Keto. Where I would get to the point where I felt like I could eat but it never passed that feeling. Whereas yesterday I went far beyond that stage.

Lunch is proving difficult to master, but I will get there. I cook some meat the night before, and eat it cold the next day from a tub. However some meats and cuts work much better than others.

Good
Ribeye - meat stays tasy and the fat is almost better the next day. Stays super soft. 
Lamb patties - superior to beef patties when cold, less grisly. To be fair superior taste when warm too.

OK
Beef Patties - nothing terrible but can be a little grisly the next day, and lacks the flavour compared to when freshly cooked.

Bad
Chicken Drumsticks, legs or thighs - the skin goes a little weird and I find the meat rubbery. Chicken is off the menu for lunches, and too be fair will rarely be on my main meal menu either. 
Pork shoulder steaks - lacks flavour and goes chewy. Fat goes really hard and grisly. 
Rump and Sirloin - unlike Ribeye I find the meat and fat becomes a bit hard to chew. Lacks the flavour it has when freshly cooked.

I will keep trying new lunch meats when I fancy them, plus I can experiment with omelettes etc.

Exercise wise today I did 5 minutes of Pull Ups (10) and 10 minutes Yoga. I am currently finding it very easy to do the 15 minutes I have planned each day. However I have found this easy before, it is also very easy to fall out of the habit of doing it. So I need to be really mindful and keep my motivation high.

Generally speaking, yes. Fruit does not really fit into a Ketogenic Diet. 
However, grapefruit is somewhat of a special case. 
Grapefruit may have the potential to prevent insulin resistance. 
Insulin resistance increases risk factors associated with type 2 diabetes. 
So, as long as you keep the amount of grapefruit you eat within your carbohydrate range, adding it into your diet could help with insulin resistance.

Felt hungry all day today, one of them days when I couldn’t be filled. I stuck with what I had planned to eat, but I am guessing I should have to listened to my body and ate more!

1pm - 400g beef joint
7:30pm - 300g Lamb Patty and cheese

Exercise - 5 minutes of press ups (34), and 10 minutes of Yoga.
