Yesterday. Saturday. Got in a good 40 min lift on my lunch break and a quick eliptical session. #nonscalevictory today. Some of you will understand this. I used to HATE when my shirt would ride up when I was doing my hair. I hated what I saw. *I’m definitely tearing up while I write this. 😏 There were days when I didn’t want to even look in a mirror. And I would cover up with a towel when I got out of the shower... just so I didn’t have to see myself and get depressed. Well today the complete opposite happened. I was French braiding my hair and my shirt rode up as it usually does. I felt it happen and I cringed. But this time I looked up... and for the first time in probably ten years. I liked what I saw. Yeah, I was that overweight! I'll have even more to lose after I hit 100 pounds lost. So disappointed in myself for letting my weight get so out of hand! I knew I was overweight, I knew in was addicted to sugar (but also in denial about it) I knew I was an over-eater (but I loved food too much...I still do lol). ......I was miserable. I felt so unattractive, so fat, so unhealthy, my joints hurt all the time, I was tired all the time (I had also been diagnosed with anemia so that added to being tired)! I was embarrassed to eat out and eat in front of friends because I would almost always eat more than them, even if I felt full, I would keep eating!
.......I'm not done yet, but I already feel so much better! I'm not near as tired as I used to be, in fact I have so much more energy now! My joints don't hurt near like they used to (I still have issues with my knees, part of that is genetics...My dad has to have knee replacements on both of his knees, part is more weight that needs to come off and more muscle that needs to be built) I eat so much better now. I don't overeat. I recognize when I'm getting full and I control myself EASILY! I never thought that would be possible. I never understood when people said they weren't hungry...I was always hungry before starting Keto, I always had cravings and most of the time I caved in to them. These things are a non scale victory for me! (Even tho this post started out about the scale, it really is so much more than that!) I no longer take iron pills either and I am.not dissapointed in the progress I've made so far!
......I only wish I would have found keto sooner!

I am just now having some #keto tea, as I haven’t felt well today. Some of the muscles in my bad shoulder and neck are a little mad, and combined with some sinus action, conspired to give me a nasty headache. I haven’t eaten anything except a few macadamias that I ate post-workout. I did upper body and #HIIT in the pool today, but was careful of the shoulder.
Happy to report that I have not had a diet soda or anything similar in 3 days. I don't plan on having one anytime soon either. That is a big deal for me. Thanks for the advice @jason.wittrock @stevenlopezcg . Gotta change my ways to achieve my goals. #ketoquest#250KCHALLENGE#250kchallenge2018

There’s no cheating when it comes to a successful fitness plan — I’ve learned this the hard way by 2 years of inconsistent effort, and mediocre results.
Consistency is key, and that statement couldn’t be any more true. So as the wall says, do it to make YOURSELF proud, no one else 🙅🏼♂️ Others will recognize your success on their own time, and it’s only when YOU appreciate the work you put in that it will be all worth it, I can guarantee that 😊
I’m pretty excited to give this a try! I didn’t get a chance to pick up some oxtail bones (cheap and my favourite bones to use for bone broth) so thankfully @melleydee found this for me which is so awesome! @brothbliss
Going to eat this gorgeous pork tenderloin roast I made! I also sautéed some cauliflower rice in a mix of butter and pork #lard and then added some of the roast broth and let it simmer for a bit to soak up some flavor. Yum!!! Since Jethro diligently guarded the crock pot all day from roast-stealing thieves, he scored some broth in his dog food with a little of the meat. Back at the pool. Swimming has probably had the most improvement for me. Few months ago I'd be gasping for breath after front crawling 1, or 2, 25m lengths. My training today was 100m, rest, 50m, rest, 50m, then 8x25m giving it my all with 15-20 seconds rest inbetween. Goal is to get to 300m in 3 months. #ketoquest
My body chewed through my ketones during my fasted workout, but didn’t affect glucose much. My pre-workout glucose was 96 and post-workout was 90. I did 40 minutes of lower body strength training today and then 20 minutes of #HIIT in the pool plus some swimming since it keeps my shoulder limbered up. These are pretty typical numbers for me when fasting, but I expect the ketones will start going back up soon. #keto#ketosis#ketogenic#ketoquest#intermittentfasting#lchf
Brewing up some turmeric tea with lemon verbena and lime. There will be no sweeteners, fat or collagen going into this, as I am working on a 20 hour fast. I am just working on getting plenty of water back into my body after an intense workout. Lunch! Soooo good. I had absolutely no energy last night to make lunch for work today so I grabbed this on the way into work. I figured chicken caesar salad would be good and I would pick the croutons out and chuck the prepackaged dressing aside but by some keto miracle, they had already replaced the croutons with cashews! Winning! Added half an avo and I was a happy chappy 😃
I started this journey last 2011. I was at 200lbs. I was depress, with health issues and drug addiction. This is my 100 days on #KETOGENICDIET . Still going strong and I’m loving every single minute of it. Just wanted to share these pictures maybe it will help some pple out there who are battling the same demons when I was at my lowest.
