I was never really a fan of Halloween until I moved to Florida.
One year, my newly acquainted hair dresser told me about this neighborhood beachside, where EVERY HOUSE puts on a large display (a DJ at one house, Jaws playing on a big screen at another, etc). One year we decided to go and since then, it's been a tradition.
The houses just don't have amazing Halloween displays, they give out full size candy bars, some homes have cotton candy stations while others have popcorn or snow cone stations.
Not to mention, a few homes give out mini Dixie cups of wine spritzers, daiquiris and margaritas for the adults!
I've come to appreciate Trick or Treating with my kids not only because I know they won't participate in this forever, but because I know the experience creates memories to last a lifetime.
Check out our costumes! I made Skyler's gumball machine costume, while Kalli and I were minions (Bob and Kevin, to be exact).
