There tons of exercises out there for the "core" and some focus on resisting movement (planks) while some focus on creating it (crunches).
Neither is better than the other inherently, both have a place in the realm of rehab, exercise, and performance.
Two exercises I've been playing with recently are the plank press off GHR (resisting movement) and the plank press into sit up off GHR (resisting movement into creating movement).
I'm always looking for exercises that can get pushed hard at a lower rep range and these fill that criteria really well! #abs#core

I did a pyramid set for each exercise, meaning I kept adding weight after each set.

Happy Saturday fitness fam world! 🌎 I see you really my previous post on Mr Mike O'Hearn - Mr Universe. But let me ask you this? Which images do you like best of me?
Top left is my job, I had to increase carbs unfortunately to 120 grams last 2 days bc I have to write policy & process documentation for work & finish it by next week. The brain does 'not' work with only 50 grams of carbs- I only lasted 3 days.
If you look at my facial images for the last year & a half, the change is hardly noticeable. People get upset especially women bc my body can get leaner & my face does 'not' look like a frog.
I told you guys, I already have a CLEAN diet year-round. I tweak my diet a little here & there, increase my cardio & my abs show up...that's it! As I get leaner, I eat what I like & then I blast the workouts even more to burn the excess calories consumed.
I can go to AFX (see last post to see what that's about), & be back stage help to meet Mr Universe. Last year I was requested to help back stage bc family members run this event. But I don't think that's how I'm going to get a picture with Mr Universe.
He requested to get a picture taken with me 3 years ago bc he liked my work ethic in the gym. I didn't pay attention to his celebrity status, I didn't even know who he was. Me & my workout partner at that time, were focused on our gym workout & he was impressed how fully engaged we were in the gym, so we stood out in his eyes even if we didn't have hair & makeup on.
So what do I do now to stand out in his eyes, so that I will get another picture with Mr Universe Mike O' Hearn again? I don't want to hunt him out for it bc I didn't have to do that 3 years ago. Nope! I am not going to chase you, but I don't mind taking another picture again, lol! 😜
