This @magpiefibers Solstice blocked out so nice! It's squishy and has that special cool softness that you only get with cotton & silk content. It's just the tiniest bit tweedy/slubby with a lovely shine.
Join us for a free screening of the documentary film Yarn. From the seas of Barcelona to the cobblestoned streets of Rome, meet the artists who are disrupting traditional notions of knit and crochet, bringing yarn out of the house and into the street.
Our events bar will be open. Grab some popcorn and a glass of wine, and settle in for this animated tale as it follows circus performers, yarn bombers and interactive designers around the world.
When: Wednesday 31 May
Time: 6:30 - 8:00pm
Free, bookings essential via www.boroondara.vic.gov.au/arts or 03 9278 4770
I packed my mini notions pouch with some essentials (snips from @ami.club, tape measure from @knit_picks, stitch markers from @sweet.carolines.clay). All ready for knitting & hockey this afternoon!

Happy Monday to me! Last week I signed up for Darn Good Yarn's Yarn of the Month Club and my first package arrived!
Each month club members get a skein of yarn, a knitting and crochet pattern to make a project with the yarn and a fun surprise, delivered right to your door! This month's surprise was a crochet hook and DPNs and the pattern is a fun 3 tiered bowl set, perfect for holding succulents or other goodies. Stay tuned to see how my project turns out and for future months' yarn deliveries! (Yarn bowl not included in yarn subscription, I splurged on that because I've wanted one forever 😊) #darngoodyarn#yarnnerd#makersmonday#knitting
I used to hate seaming my sweaters, I felt like it too foreverrrr. But now I've come to appreciate how long it takes, the patience needed. It helps me focus my mind on the task at hand and forget the rest.
