Last weekend, judicial officers visited Worawa Aboriginal College. Worawa is unique in Australia. It’s a boarding school for Aboriginal girls from around the country that encourages integrated learning – the students here learn their own cultural practices as well as skills for employment and further study.
We loved the tour of the dreaming trail which shows aspects of traditional Aboriginal life in a bush setting and provides the students and visitors to Worawa with a place for reflection and immersion in nature. A sculpture of Bunjil, the eagle, creator of the land, overlooks the trail. #judicialeducation#education#koori#culturalawareness#worawa#dreamingtrail#aboriginal#college#bunjil#judicialcollege#courts#law#auslaw
