Your Art Here -- Artist Highlight @noellekraus At a very young age Noelle took an interest in art, specifically painting and drawing. Influenced by her grandfather, also a painter, and encouraged by family. Noelle works primarily with acrylic on canvas, with a focus on intricate designs and detailed patterns featuring bright colors. Her work takes a lot of inspiration from subjects such as mosaics, mandalas, tiles, stained glass, mandala sand painting, and Mexican yarn painting. Noelle likes to combine geometric and organic elements to create a style that can be described as both psychedelic and kaleidoscopic. Noelle graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children from SUNY Brockport. You can find more of her work at www.noellekraus.com catch these pieces at Groundwork on Traction Ave. . . .

“We Didn't have any plans to grow into 100 runners on a wednesday or a saturday. I think what we wanted to do was explore the city on foot, or just be out and about and get out of the bubbles where we grew up. I live near Korea town in harbor heights, and growing up I only knew like a 2-3 mile radius. Blacklist LA was created because I wanted to explore through art. We heard of one mural that was on melrose by fairfax, and we invited some friends to come out to run, but the intention was to get out there and get active in a different part where I didn't grow up and through that we started discovering the city.” -Erik

Everything starts off with an idea or concept, then a sketch, followed by a quick mockup to get a sense of color and tone. This is an idea I'm working on for the NYC Coffee Festival's annual exhibition next month. I took third place overall last year...coming for the throne this time around 😤😤😤#coffeeflower#louieblakaoriginal
