Lee Mingwei’s “The Mending Project” invites the public to bring in clothing to be repaired by the artist with colourful string. The spectator and artist are able to chat while the clothing is repaired on site. Once mended, the spool of thread attached to the wall remains connected to the garment. The installation encourages building positive connections between strangers (short summary - there is more behind it!)
