Week 4 (Day 22)
A bowl of Chinese Chicken & Corn Soup with 1/2 breast of a Lahori Chargha
Posting it a little late, but this is what I had for lunch today. Yup, there is no bread on the side or salad for that matter. Didn't have time for any vegetables, and as far as bread/Roti/Naan is concerned. I will start trying to avoid, or eat as little "bread" as I can for some time.
I have been checking my weight every Monday since I actively started watching my weight. A month to be exact. And, for the first time the scale moved upward than going down.
While I know what caused the 1.5 lb gain (Hormones). I also realized I need to push a little extra. I do plan to discuss this issue on my next doctor's visit. But for now I will try to cut down on carbs & fats as much as I can.
Note: While this plate doesn't look like it has any extra carbs, it does have two slices of potatoes. And, more than anything that Chicken & Corn Soup bowl has quite a good amount of carbs in the form of corns & the cornstarch which was used to "thicken" the soup. Enough to give me the energy I needed for the next couple of hours.
It's Monday. The most dreaded day of the week for some. But also a fresh start to a new week. Here is to hoping we stick to it throughout the week.
God knows I have been struggling lately. And, if you are, then know that it's only human to struggle.
Know that as long as you know your plan, & you pick yourself up from where you left off. You will slowly but surely reach your goal.
