Following on from my previous post about the ‘Pardoning of the Turkey’ tradition, Trump has just pardoned this innocent turkey but tomorrow the United States will support the tradition of eating the flesh of tens of millions of innocent massacred turkeys for #Thanksgiving and oddly give thanks while doing it.
While I’m really happy that Drumstick won’t become a drumstick and will live a happy life, I’m really struggling to get my head around this nonsense. How can you pardon one innocent being who has committed no crime and then go and massacre millions of others and act like pardoning one is an act of mercy while ignoring the screams, cries and suffering of millions of others?
We need to pardon ALL animals from our inhumanity as animals have never done anything to us. They don’t deserve the horrors we inflict on them for trivial reasons like ‘tradition’ and ‘taste’ 😒 .
Video #Repost @cnn who wrote: President Trump continues the White House tradition of pardoning a turkey before Thanksgiving. “Drumstick have a very, very bright future ahead of him,” he said about the turkey.
