Want to feel good this Friday? You can give something and get something in return. Win-win!
This is a new painting from my time on the now hurricane-ravaged Saint-Martin, available at www.teressaljackson.com/shop. When you buy this piece, I will donate 100% of its purchase price ($50) in your honor to @samaritanspurse, a charity working to help the people of Sint Maarten/Saint-Martin in the aftermath of the hurricane.
Samaritan's Purse has disaster response specialists fanning out across different neighborhoods of St. Martin to bring food, water, and emergency supplies to thousands of families. They have assisted in distributing food, water, and relief supplies to about 1,100 households. Dones Lapaix, one of the local pastors they've worked with on St. Martin, said “A big problem is that everyone is homeless unexpectedly. As soon as Samaritan’s Purse arrived with these items it was very helpful. Many homes in our community have no roofs, only walls.” #teressajacksonart#art#painting#dogood#artforgood#hurricanerelief#hurricaneirma#saintmartin#stmartin#sintmaarten#giveget#winwin#helppeople#caribbean#landscapeart#artistsoninstagram#caribbeanart
Next week, A Walk On Mount Caburn opens. Four Phoenix artists - Emily Jolley, Jane Fox, Tania Rutland and Jane Fox - share their individual creative responses to walks on the South Downs. The exhibition is supplemented by a series of workshops that encourage participants to engage with the landscape in their own way.
