Today's new nugget of knowledge: THIS IS THE REAL LIFE SIZE OF YOUR UTERUS/CERVIX (and the real life size of an IUD). Learned about methods of contraception today and I literally learned so much. Like idk how i got so far in my life without knowing how truly tiny the female reproductive system is- AND how much it stretches when you have a baby!!! Is that not crazy??? And then your uterus goes back to almost normal size (it's 10% bigger), but like imagine a baby's head fitting through that small hole like omg. The human body is magic 😧! I love medical school. We got to practice implanting the IUD's in the models and got a retractable one to take home and it's super fun to play with 🤗
Also side note: IUD's are actually a super great form of birth control- highly effective and fewer side effects and not as burdensome as taking a pill every day! I've anecdotally heard of friends who have said their IUDs were painful to put in and know a lot of people on the pill, but fun fact, the IUD is actually the #1 recommended form of birth control for adults AND adolescents!!
Growing up I was also very eager and happy to go to school and learn, I still am. The second I knew the answer to a question my hand went up before I could even think or hesitate. No lie. This is very embarrassing but once I even tried to check out like 10 books at once. Lord help me thinking about it now I feel very embarrassed. But Emma Watson's character Hermione gives me the motivation to tackle my anxiety and try and show my love for school as I used to. This is just one out of the million reasons why I love her so much. ❤❤
Trying to learn French with Indi, at only 3yrs old she can now say: yes, no, hello, how are you, fine thank you, my name is Indi and nice to meet you! We are on fire and not stopping there! I can't believe how much she actually wants to learn it, she even comes up to me and quizzes me through the day! I love watching her flourish and grow into this beautiful little girl. Maybe one day I'll be able to take her to France so we can test out our skills 😌😉 #French#secondlanguage#learning#progress#determination#fun#instagood#instalike#instafollow
Feb 2017👉🏼Sept 2017 💪🏼 back gainz, hair gainz, waist losses(?) - however the transformation is so much deeper than the physical changes!
I just wanted to give a sincere thank you to all my followers, all 458 of you. It's easy to follow the people with 500k followers, its harder to support a small person with a big dream and I truly thank all of you for being a big part of this journey with me. I began my fitness journey looking for the aesthetic changes, but as I learned more about my body I realized how important it is to respect your body through exercise and nutrition. I wanted to devote my life to educating myself on how the body adapts to the nourishment we provide. I truly believe I have the capabilities to change lives through nutrition and fitness education. It would be a million times easier to gain followers if I was naked all the time, posting nothing of substance. However, I believe I have so much more to offer than just my body - I truly want to educate others. This account isn't to boost my self confidence through likes and comments - my sole purpose in starting this account was to educate and stop the spreading of BS in the fitness industry.
Anyway, long winded but this is just a glimpse of the dream you supported when you followed. I appreciate every single one of you. Thank you so much 🙏🏼💕
Hands up if you dread food shopping with the kids? ✋✋✋ Well, I may just be able save your sanity and increase your kids knowledge of fruits and vegetables with this handy little trick 😉
Kids love being involved, and quite frankly, we can't half blame them for kicking up a storm when they are stuck in a trolley with nothing to do. Sounds pretty boring to me...But by giving them a little job to help us out at the supermarket or farmers market, not only are they nice and distracted, but they are learning too!
Get them to help find the fruit and veg on your shopping list. You may be quite surprised to realise how much you have assumed they know when it comes to naming fruits and vegetables, plus it's a great way to teach them! You can talk about whether it's a fruit or veg, how it tastes, how you eat it, whether you cook it or eat it raw. You can even remind them of a time when you had it home.
I've done this with my kids, and it's amazing how much their interest grows. When they see a fruit or veg they don't recognise, they are always curious and asking questions. Sometimes I'll even buy it for them to try, another great way to expand their tastes 😉
"Something like a Broken Heart" by Hanna-McEuen
Calm morning. I went to Stockton, but was too late for my blood donation appointment at UOP. So I went and saw mom, tried to find my old choir teacher (turns out Ms. Rogers retired,) got gas, then headed to the hospital to visit Grandma. She was sleeping when I got there, so I decided I'd take a load off too. She'll be out of the hospital soon though!
I then went to home Depot. There's so much there! I'm so curious how it all works. I watched a video on how to change the air filter in my car and I feel confident I know how to! In highschool, I always wanted to take auto shop, but the seizures kind of held me back on it. But I want to learn! I want to figure out how to redecorate and what not. That's something that I've admired about Suzie.. she just figures out how to do it, then does it. I'm totally down to learn! Though, I'm going to need help with the electrical side of things. Maybe Uncle Mike will help aha.
