I had a lovely start to the day today! I had a feeling I should leave my curtains open when I went to bed last night and awoke after only 4 hours sleep to a little bit of good looking cloud for sunrise..
I decided heading up Coronet Peak wouldn't be a bad idea and was treated to this epic show! The sky lit up like a christmas tree with heaps of different layers of light to play with!
I'm going through another panorama phase with my photography now after playing with @talman 's @sonynz A7R ii with 42.4 megapixels, having just 20mp from my 6D is a little depressing.. 😭
So until I have a spare $4000 for nice Sony, I'm creating big monsters like this one out of 21 shots to get 239 megapixels! Its just so much more satisfying to be able to zoom in and enjoy all the little details of everything going on in this scene!
Also a cheeky side note, the Coronet Peak ski road was in the foreground of this shot and was super distracting so I used the good old content aware tool to make it disappear 😅 I'm not a fan of faking images and this was certainly on the line of that so thought I would mention it 😉
