@blueapron is honestly changing my life. Salmon with caramelized onion and date vinaigrette, with harissa toasted veggies. SO GOOD. And totally #LCG and #tiuapproved if anyone wants to try it let me know! I have free meals! Breakfast was @laurengleisberg pbj oats again, and lunch was my leftover @skinnytaste jerk chicken tacos. Snacks included the @toneitup mocha muffins, and a @toneitup protein bar. Completed 9 rounds of the the #lg30x30 preview circuit with some slight modifications. So far I am liking this plan better than the original. More fun and a bit more doable. Happy Tuesday! Today was another oddly busy day, mainly at home, not so much at work. Having kids at home full-time sucks the time right out of the day, leaving very little time for mom to do anything, work or personal. It doesn’t help that my toddler doesn’t want daddy to do anything for her. 🙄 This year I’m trying to make positive changes that will emotionally benefit us all but the transition is taking FOREVER! 😭 I’m desperate! Okay, unexpected rant, over.
Besides the normal chaotic life I live, today was a great day! I used some heavy weights to blow off steam and it worked so well that I couldn’t even do my SELF challenge add on. Glutes and Legs were toast. 👊🏼

Boring dinner tonight, but easy and still good. Sweet potato with balsamic garlic pork chops. Breakfast was @laurengleisberg PB&J crumble. Lunch was three Parmesan garlic wings from @bwwings 😑 oops. Completed day 1 of #lg30x30 free preview. It was killer. Although not as bad as I expected based on the original 30x30. I actually quite enjoyed it except for dips. Still got up at 5:30am and fit in half the studio workout - sorry but HIIT is not happening when I’m feeling less than 100%🙅🏼♀️ Then I did all the of the daily moves 💪🏼Had some honey,lemon, cayenne water to give me the boost I needed and now it’s time for some delicious protein pancakes for M1 🥞

It’s day one of the #loveyourbody series, so here’s a few comparison photos from years past to show progress over time.
☝🏼 the first photo was taken right before the LYB series started in January 2015. I didn’t like anything about my body, and my stress levels were through the ROOF. My senior of college added on more weight than my freshman - junior years combined. TALK ABOUT AWFUL. 2014 was the year that I found @toneitup (through Pinterest), but 2015 was the year I actually USED it.
✌🏼 Flashforward to 2017 (photo 2). I still wasn’t super happy with how things were going, but with some stability in the mental department, I was ready to take on a challenge. I left a crappy relationship and a crappy job, and moved back home. I didn’t feel super great about my decisions, but this challenge taught me a lot about myself — and how to love myself. Because, damn there’s a lot of things I CAN do. It became a springboard for me learning so much about myself physically — I’ve challenged myself in ways I never knew I would.
👇🏼 Now, here I am in 2018, ready to kick the year’s a$$. I’ve gained a lot of FITinfluences since the start.... This year, I’m mashing my favorites together for this challenge — mostly because I wanna look & feel my best (especially for my birthday in a month!!!)
I’ll be following the #tiunutritionplan (with add-ons because this homie likes to eat) + everything laid out for us in the challenge pack. I’ll also be adding on cardio via @toneitup BUT I’m following @megmo’s #slapbackintofitness plan to build muscle. I’ve got different goals than I did before and lifting is something that’s become enjoyable for me. I figured why not combine the two?!
DAY ONE?! Superb! I stayed on track with meals! I got the DMs in + day 1 of #slapbackintofitness !! It felt good to get out of bed & burn some MAJOR calories & kick some MAJOR butt!!!! I’m ready for the next six weeks! 😊💕
In other news, I stopped my whole30. I don’t feel like going into details. But I feel much better eating in moderation rather than restricting whole groups of foods. 🤗 That’s all I will say. (see: @kp_ingitsimple for more info on NOT needing to constantly explain our choices. 😘)
When you want to play video games but you also need to get your workout in ... 🎮 🚴🏼♀️ Got in 30 minutes of spinning on the trainer and a little upper body toning 💪🏼 Now time to relax and try to keep warm in this frigid cold ☃️
My shoulders and upper back have been sore the last two days - guess that’s a side effect of not really working since mid fall 😳🙈 Luckily, when my husband built our home gym he got cross symmetry which is like a little workout system that promotes shoulder health through strength and movement. Needless to say, my shoulders and upper back are feeling much better than they did first thing this morning 😊💪🏼 Now time to choke down my charcoal colored cleanse smoothie because I thought putting berries in it instead of mango was a good idea 😐 #fail

👉🏼My first passion is writing, but working with kids is a win. Someday, I hope to write about sports from the comfort of my home / a coffee shop!.

👉🏼I found running in my time of need — it’s been there for me when I need to clear my head. I was “diagnosed” with clinical depression & general anxiety two years ago.

A YEAR AGO:
🎄 I was two months into my current lifestyle
🎄 I was in an unhappy relationship
🎄 I was depressed but masking it with my relationship
🎄 I was wanting to make real changes & challenge myself
🎄 I decided to commit to @toneitup for fitness & signed up for the #LookforLove challenge.
🎄 (By the end of the challenge, I broke off my relationship, cut out unnecessary stressors, and made it a point to LOVE ME.
🎅🏼 Now, I’m a year into making exercise & healthy eating a PRIORITY — it’s something I never have done before. I’m stronger, have more willpower, more energy, and accomplished goals that I never thought possible. (LIKE A HALF MARATHON!)
The picture on the left I took a year ago because I couldn’t believe how loose my pants were! I realized I was wearing pretty much the same outfit today & couldn’t resist taking a comparison photo. I don’t have the jeans anymore — they were WAYY too big for me. The difference a year makes is amazing! Sometimes I forget how much I’ve changed physically & these little reminders keep me pushin’ through.
This is a WOW, LOOK WHAT I’VE DONE IN A YEAR’S TIME! WHAT CAN I ACCOMPLISH IN ANOTHER YEAR?! Special shouts to all who’ve motivated me & kept me moving on my trek this year. 😊
32 hours and counting! Today was a very unproductive, but fun filled day! I was supposed to do all of my grocery shopping today so we could spend tomorrow baking cookies and meal prepping for the week, but instead we ended up shopping for our pup’s stocking, eating burgers and chilling at the beach...because when it’s high 60’s in December, you go to the beach and play! Sooo, now it looks like tomorrow is gonna be a busy one! 🤷🏻♀️
Friday I ended the #LGFitmas Challenge with W54 Chest and Back. I wanted to get the last workout in today, but that didn’t happen. Instead today’s leg workout consisted of a very long walk, in the sand, with a 35+lb toddler on my shoulders. My calves were on fire! I was sweating by the time we got to the car! Legs and cardio...✔️
Now that Fitmas is over, i plan to take a much needed week break to stretch (aka do yoga), recharge and prep for the next challenge/program! I need to get back to tracking my macros and work on better meal planning. Next week should be very productive!
As for meals, today was a typical weekend day. Great breakfast. Decent lunch. Crappy dinner. Shocker. 😂

Happy Tuesday! Yesterday I took off to do some last minute shopping and epically failed at having a productive day. 🤦🏻♀️ I only got 5 hours of sleep and I didn’t fuel my body at all throughout the day, which left me foggy brained and unable to truly function. Stupid me. I’m that person who gets too busy to eat...even though I know not eating leaves me unproductive. I’ll learn...one day. So because of that, today is my Monday for both work and workouts!

Pecan and apple spinach salad for lunch! Plus I came across a chicken recipe that is so good, I had to share it with instagram. Mix 1 cup Greek yogurt, 1/4 c Parmesan cheese, 1tsp seasoning salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 tsp garlic powder together in a bowl. Brush it over 4 chicken breasts and bake for 45 minutes! I tried this @fulfil_nutrition white chocolate and cookie dough protein bar after yesterday’s workout that I picked up in Primark of all places! I haven’t had a protein bar in ages, most of the time I just have a glass of chocolate milk post workout so I noticed I could really sense a synthetic kind of after taste at first, but maybe that’s because I’m not used to them anymore. I like the white chocolate, the inside was chewy but I couldn’t really taste the cookie dough pieces.
Getting ready to do another workout from @laurengleisberg Saturday is a catch up day for any workouts that have been missed so considering I’ve missed 4 weeks I’ve got a lot to choose from! I want to do a leg workout so I’m going to do the W1/D1 workout for legs and glutes. Anyone else doing a workout today? Let’s do this! 👊🏻
A little hump day lategram to start the morning (errr afternoon)😏 I didn’t end up checking in last night because my post was pretty much me being down in the dumps and feeling victimized by all of the changes that have occurred over the past month. I realized there was no point of me complaining considering I agreed to the choices that have been made. I may not see my life as fair or equal at times (real talk) but I have two choices: suck it up or change it. And today I choose to change it and to make my voice heard. 💁🏻♀️

Yesterday’s workout sucked folks. It. Sucked. 😓 First, It was the first day of my period. Enough said. Then, well, the rest I’ll just leave at the door because I stated above, no complaining. So let’s just say I had to rush through it and call it a day. Ah well. Not everyday can be perfect. As much as the perfectionist in me would think otherwise. 🙃
