The noodles are quite starchy and the soup is quite thick as well.
I think I prefer a regular bowl of pho but I'm still glad to have tried this! 😋😋
Grilled beef tongue 😜😛😝 Loving the grilled skewers from @sumiresg, and there goes my first time trying beef tongue 🤣 Their Sumire Yakotori platter ($29.80) comes with chicken shoulders, chicken liver, chicken heart, pork belly and more, the perfect finger food to go with your drinks! 🍻 That's where you should be heading for on Wednesday nights 😉

✏️ Well, what can I say? A humongous pile of deliciousness. The fried steak was the highlight: cooked medium but still juicy and tender, with crunch from the buttermilk coating. The mash was soft and creamy and the bacon superb as usual. I didn’t get a lot of the white bbq sauce coming through, unfortunately, as the chicken gravy was very strong. Delicious but 💪🏻 Lots of garlic and flavour sensations coming through. Probably better suited to the cooler months, given the heft and raised body temp after devouring it but who am I kidding - get your face around it ASAP

We had such an enjoyable lunch at @dumplingkingcafe yesterday! The fried pork dumplings and fried rice noodles with smoked chicken was the perfect combination. I couldn't bring myself to buy a water or Coke No Sugar though, because the drinks in the fridge were barely cold, one of my pet peeves. Thankfully there was complimentary tea, which was relaxing I guess. Amazing food though!

There isn’t much that sugar and caffeine can’t fix, especially on a wet mid-week morning when a day of meetings looms ahead. I switched from coffee to apple & cinnamon tea at the weekend as it did this pecan pie much more justice and now I need me some more loose leaf in my life, stat.

Personally recommend the pistachio & strawberry doffle stack to share! It was full of strawberries and delicious white chocolate!And their donuts are actually incredible, try their nutella filled one! Favourite shake was the Oreo 🙌
