Doctors told me I had a very aggressive lymphoma and I needed a very aggressive chemo for my best chance of survival. 
I asked for recommendations with nutrition to help me heal and was given outdated food pyramid material. That was not the information I was hoping to receive. Omg ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ at that point I knew I had to do my own research and become my own advocate! 
I prayed. I meditated. I asked Spirit for guidance and went online. I remembered how touched I was by @crazysexykris when I first came across her story.  I was determined to find answers, to give it my best shot, not only to survive for my family, for my husband and our 3 kids + baby on the way, but I was determined to get through it all without having to terminate pregnancy. I believed my best outcome would include a complete healing, a healthy family and a healthy baby.
I decided to start juicing and even though I didnโ€™t know the specific benefits, I felt inspired enough to nourish my body and my baby with fruits and veggies. And after researching everything about Hodgkins Lymphoma, I decided to do the chemo also.

6 months of ABVD chemo, injecting anticoagulants twice daily for 2 months (bc the huge tumor in my chest was wrapped around main blood vessels = high risk for heart failure), numerous ct scans covering my belly to minimize radiation exposure, all the side effects, losing hair by the handfuls, balding, Giving vaginal birth to a beautiful healthy baby boy after 4 months of exhausting chemo and then, tubal ligation surgery, caring for my newborn (midnight feedings etc) & more chemo immediately after delivery..... + 25 radiation (Mon - Fri for 5 weeks).
It was all so worth it when I heard NO EVIDENCE of DISEASE!
BUT, my thyroid was damaged and I was left with crazy side effects. God answered my prayers by connecting me to @medicalmedium ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ•Š๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ I found hope, reassurance and a roadmap to truly HEAL with food. Iโ€™ve been off all meds for 6 months, Thyroid is in normal range, & I feel so good. My baby is almost 4, my family is healthy & weโ€™re all learning more about healing, wellness & prevention. December is a month full of celebration for me, I have so much to be thankful for. โœจ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ’• Today is the anniversary of when I first started dating the love of my life, the best decision I ever made. I have been reading Life Changing Foods by Anthony William slowly and patiently going over every peice of information over and over. All his messages on health and wellness come straight from Spirit. So many people are turning to this man for help and I can see why. He has validated some of my own intuitive promptings that he is hard to just dismiss. Today I am learning all abput Raspberry leaf. One of my favourite herbs to make a summer ice tea out of with raw honey and fresh lemon. He says that if you drink raspberry leaf during a full moon it enhances its potency because raspberry plants grow 25 percent more on a full moon and the dried plant is still connected to these rhythms. How cool is that!

The plan was to make lots and lots of saffron buns at work today. instead I'm at home, resting and working extra hard on my healing as I yesterday woke up with what turned out to be a shingles flare ๐Ÿ˜ฃ (bรคltros)
As I realized what it was it felt like a slap in the face. I'm working so hard on healing myself on so many levels, so the first question that arised was why?? But then again after relaxing, and reading the chapter about shingles in the book @medicalmedium , I know why. And I decided to take a different approach. I decided not to let myself feel victimized by this sudden flare, and instead give myself credit for how far I've come. I decided not to listen to all the people telling me how terrible painful it can get, I decided not to get scared and I decided not to take the prescription drugs the doctor gave me. Not that he cares, my precense and my questions was something I felt him totally uninterested in. Oh well, no more new blisters and I'm having a very light touch of this so I'm going to be grateful. Grateful for the work I've done so far. I am convinced that if I hadn't done the big changes in adding all the healing foods that Anthony writes about, in the last year and half I'm sure it would have been so so  much worse. 
I AM HEALING! Realizing that I have carried this terrible viruses in my body practically my whole life, it's bound to take some time, right? So diet now is adding even more blueberries, sweet potatoes, leafy greens, zink, asparagus all foods to help healing the shingles virus. So today's pic is not of saffron buns and candles, but another blueberry smoothie, in the beautiful snow as to soothe my body in many ways. Wishing you all a wonderful Lucia.

Today I started my day off with 32oz of lemon water, 16oz of celery juice, a heavy metal detox smoothie, a salad made with romaine, cucumber, portobello mushrooms, 1/2 an avocado, tomatoes, and a homemade green dressing, and for dinner I made this raw spinach soup. It was made with 2 bunches of spinach, 6 mandarin oranges, a large handful of cilantro, 2 cloves of garlic, 4 celery sticks, & topped with chopped green onion. Today, I woke up and was able to move my hands without intense pain...to celebrate I had chocolate for breakfast!  Breakfast happens late for me...I start the morning with lemon water with @doterra essential oils like copaiba followed by fresh pressed celery juice and then about 30 minutes later I have my smoothie. I eat based on my intuition while following the things I know that are working to help heal my body and it is starting to produce results.

Today, I woke up and was able to move my hands without intense pain...to celebrate I had chocolate for breakfast! Breakfast happens late for me...I start the morning with lemon water with @doterra essential oils like copaiba followed by fresh pressed celery juice and then about 30 minutes later I have my smoothie. I prayed. I meditated. I asked Spirit for guidance and went online. I remembered how touched I was by @crazysexykris when I first came across her story.  I was determined to find answers, to give it my best shot, not only to survive for my family, for my husband and our 3 kids + baby on the way, but I was determined to get through it all without having to terminate pregnancy. I believed my best outcome would include a complete healing, a healthy family and a healthy baby.
I decided to start juicing and even though I didnโ€™t know the specific benefits, I felt inspired enough to nourish my body and my baby with fruits and veggies. And after researching everything about Hodgkins Lymphoma, I decided to do the chemo also.

6 months of ABVD chemo, injecting anticoagulants twice daily for 2 months (bc the huge tumor in my chest was wrapped around main blood vessels = high risk for heart failure), numerous ct scans covering my belly to minimize radiation exposure, all the side effects, losing hair by the handfuls, balding, Giving vaginal birth to a beautiful healthy baby boy after 4 months of exhausting chemo and then, tubal ligation surgery, caring for my newborn (midnight feedings etc) & more chemo immediately after delivery..... + 25 radiation (Mon - Fri for 5 weeks).
It was all so worth it when I heard NO EVIDENCE of DISEASE!
BUT, my thyroid was damaged and I was left with crazy side effects. God answered my prayers by connecting me to @medicalmedium ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ•Š๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ I found hope, reassurance and a roadmap to truly HEAL with food. Iโ€™ve been off all meds for 6 months, Thyroid is in normal range, & I feel so good. My baby is almost 4, my family is healthy & weโ€™re all learning more about healing, wellness & prevention. A love letter to the forest. โœจ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿ’• I love you sweet forest, you remind me to breathe. As I bask in your silence, the birds, leaves, and wind whisper to me. Slow down they say, you are here, where you need to be. ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ•Šโ˜€๏ธ As I gently sway in my hammock, so lovingly supported by your glorious and strong trunks, I see you. For a moment an anxious thought runs through my mind, I should be DOING something. But then you remind me to be like you and just breathe. ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’– I lay back in my floating bed beneath your breathtaking views and soak in all the cleansing energy around me. The forest is bursting with life, but everything flows so carefree and steady. I am reminded to be one with it all and release all my stress into the trees. โœจ๐ŸŒฌ๐Ÿ’จ I bask in the gleaming rays of sunshine glittering through your branches and smell the freshness, breathing so deeply. Beyond rainbow curtains of flittering eyelashes, mystical insect wings dance upon beams of light as I watch in awe. โœจโ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒˆ I imagine them as the most delicate of forest fairies, prancing all around to the beautiful silent music that surrounds us. I close my eyes and become part of the symphony, flying high above the trees. โœจ๐Ÿงš๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŒฟ I feel a warm wave of love wash over me and a peaceful grin spread across my face. Beta-carotene has received the most attention as a protector against sun damage, but alpha-carotene is also believed to be even more potent in protecting our skin cells from free radical damage caused by the sun. It's known as nature's own sun blocker. 
Some foods rich in carotene include: papaya, carrots, pumpkin, winter squash, wheatgrass and yellow and orange capsicums/ bell pepper (Cherie Calbom).
