Can you help me give a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to my sweet friend Rachel for her AMAZING transformation?😍
She has been KILLING IT in our women's only online fitness/nutrition group!🙌 This is her story! 💓
1. I am nurse in the ICU and I work night shift. I ran cross country in high school and kept running throughout college. I ran a half marathon in June of 2015 then stopped running to recover. I had a baby in August of 2016 and gained 65 pounds during my pregnancy. I ate terrible and didn’t exercise my whole pregnancy. When my baby was 7 months, I started running again. I lost 20 pounds during a weight loss competition but ended up developing pyriformis syndrome in my hip and had to stop running again. I felt distraught and depressed. I had never worked out aside from running so I didn’t know how to do it. I felt helpless and started gaining the weight back. That is when Heather reached out to me!
2. I have loved being apart of the accountability group. I feel such a measure of support from these amazing women and they help me stay motivated to keep exercising and eating healthily so that I can report each day that I am sticking to my plan! I have learned how to work out and now supplement my workouts with running. My hip stopped hurting after doing 21 Day Fix and I really believe it’s because I was strengthening the muscles that support it. I have learned how to measure real progress by looking at the inches I have lost rather than the pounds. I have learned to be easier on myself and recognize that I had a baby and my body is different because of it. I have lost 8 inches since I started back in July and have learned that PROGRESS takes PATIENCE. Fitness is a journey, not a destination. It requires constant dedication and consistent effort both in working out and with nutrition.
3. I am excited to keep progressing. I have been consistently working out since I started in July and love the way I feel. It has become a pattern that I plan to continue with. I feel better prepared for when I am ready to have another baby—I know what nutrition I need to stick to and feel as though it will be easier to continue exercising through my pregnancy because it is alre
Both the pup and I are recovering from serious abdominal surgery. I'm 10 weeks out from an unplanned Caesarean section; she's 2 days out from a spay. I'm taking it easy and just now easing back into exercise. She was bouncing off the walls today wanting to go out for a run (which she is not yet allowed). So it's safe to say that she is recovering much faster! #crossfit#dog#fitness#fitnessmotivation#recovery
Im always trying to bring my conditioning to the next level.
This year I was happy to be able to reach a new level of conditioning and get striated glutes and triceps, but I know we can push it further next time!
Week 9: 680 lbs Deadlift x 2. The poverty deadlift era continues. I need some sushi. .
