I find myself in a place where if I don’t speak, it may eat me up alive; where suffering in silence feels like lying every day and I made a promise to myself to be authentic in all that I do; To not shine myself up and make this life look pretty and rosy all the time. It’s real. And it’s super shitty at times. This past week we suffered our third miscarriage in 4 months and have now entered into the realm of fertility doctors and a whole lot of knowledge that is entirely new to me. I never thought we would be here, but I doubt anyone dreams this stuff up when picturing their family journey. It’s a sad, broken, frustrating road; so think of us from time to time and send some positive vibes our way. I know we aren’t alone in this walk.
‘Can we play in the dirt Mum?’ Kids need a bit of dirt in their lives and growing up in such a clean, modern mall filled city it’s not always that easy to find. I’ll always be grateful for our little patch of desert especially in the cooler winter months. Making tracks // Dubai // Wish You Were Here // Week 2
I know you all are only following me because you finally wanna see these cuties, so here you go! Meet Ben (left) and Kate (right). A huge round of applause and congratulations to @lindseypedey and @wpedey11!
So thankful and blessed to be a part of their beautiful day!
Stealing a precious moment from these two. When they’re good, it’s great, when they’re not, I feel like head butting a brick wall. But for now I’ll relish this beautiful image before me and be reminded just how great it can be... #unicornsforlife
I took this picture of Eze today & it instantly reminded me of the picture I took of Sebastian couple yrs ago. (totheright) Both looking up at me. Both with candy in their mouth. Both obviously wanting something from me. They’re so DIFFERENT yet the same! My babies. 💛💚😍 #bashneze#pplaskiftheyretwins#blessedYES
house wife dreams come true when friends gift you with amazing products! thank you @rhosyncollective for the perfectly curated box of goodies (you know exactly what we love!) and @polishandgroom for making amazingly scented cleaners! our bathroom smells amazing!
Not a day goes by when Olivia doesn’t ask me what’s it like to drive a real car 🚘 “Mommy, is it fun, is it difficult, can I go fast?” ... But until that day, she will need to be content with her little red racing toy car ❤️ #lesradisbleus
One day they'll be talking about shopping, plans for the weekend, and that cute boy in math class. But for now they're just eating Cheerios and literally talking about how much they love the song "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star" and I am just wishing I could keep these besties little forever and ever. #secondgenerationbesties
I feel like I should clean the house, so I am going to read until the feeling passes. 😜😬😅 - Susan Wiggs
Just a casual family reading + morning snack session with my favourite little bookworms.
The calm after the storm ☔️ • 01/17/18 || All cleaned up after our first time hosting a play date in our new home. Who knew 4 little 15 month olds could wreak so much havoc in a room 🙃 so how are we doing now that we don’t live in the City? The extra space, the sense of community, the amazing people we have met in our short time living here has really made this new place really feel like home ❤️ Now, if only we could the weather 🤔
My favorite thing about winter ... Turning creeks in our woods into ice skating trails. ⛸ (you may remember this from last year, but this fall my husband removed all the old logs, debris & tree trunks in this area in hopes it would freeze again. We have spent three days of shoveling away snow, sweeping, & literally Zamboni the ice with wet towels. It is now longer than a football field & winds all around our woods and she couldn’t be more excited!)
Just over nine months ago whilst I was on sofa-rest with baby A I received a terrified message from a good friend/ client @carodyet saying she’d been admitted to hospital with a brain bleed following the birth of her little boy Teo who was just days old. During our following messages we talked about life, it’s tremendous gifts and it’s scary as hell twists. Supporting each other and finding flickers of light in the darkness. After a challenging week in hospital she was reunited with her boys, as soon as she was I snuck off my sofa and went to capture them together (see my Instastories). At that point we all thought the trauma was over but this gorgeous family of four were about to be dealt another blow. Her brain was in danger, and something needed to done. With two small boys at home she underwent intensive brain surgery. It was successful. She rocked it and her boys have their mama strong as ever and holding them so tight. In our recent desert shoot Caro asked me to seal this moment in a capture. I was honoured to be in a position to do it for her and immensely grateful and relieved to share the next chapter in her story. What an inspiration, may we be taking family pictures of you all for a very long time to come my love xox
I take it back, I need some pink in my life - oh, and I'll take some gold too! Oh, and let’s just say... if you're with me, you're going to love my new art print... and if you have a girl, even better! Now that I got you excited, I'd better get back to finishing it!
