The founders of these sodas came to the US from Cuba in 1962 and restarted the Cawy Bottling Company. The one on the left is pineapple and the one in the right is yerba mate (a tea soda made of yerba, a form of holly). #immigration#cuban#miami#littlehavana
*The name "Little Havana" was given to this area due to the high concentration of immigrants from Cuba. Also here there are many descendants of immigrants from Latin America and Mexico, so the population here is mostly Hispanic. We walked for the sake of racy, amusing wall drawings, street statues, right there and we saw how the cigars are twisted, and bought in one of the shops. We tasted Cuban cuisine .😋🇨🇺
Jarvis Landry wants around $14 Million Plus and the Dolphins see him in the 10-12 Million Range . Landry tweeted earlier " Hope I never stoop as low as y'all willing to do..." obviously not happy with the current offer . It'll be interesting to see which sides blinks first . Landry and his agent or the Dolphins Front Office 🤔
In Miami and looking for a feel-good oldie Havana ambience? Old’s Havana Cuban Bar & Cocina (@olds_havana) located in Little Havana, Calle Ocho district offers plenty of old Cuba tributes along with black & white photos, vintage memorabilia and Cuban classic soundtracks.
The food is slightly more contemporary, but great quality and some fusion of Spanish tastes.
Mojitos, which you see lined up in the 1st pic and ready to serve, are done the right way! Instead of cheap mint crushing, which muddies up the drink and makes it hard to sip with straw, they leave it intact and just slightly awake the flavors by tapping the plant. And sugarcane adds that special touch. Cheers! @pearshapedgal .
