2018. We ready. 🙌
I always get so reminiscent this time of year. Although my body has taken many little transformations between these, it’s crazy, it feels like WAY longer than just 3 years! It’s taught me so much. What to do and what not to do, who to be and who not to be, what to be ❤️ How to help, how to coach, how to grow. Social media is amazing, how it can boost some and break others. For me, it’s a platform I can look back on and literally watch myself grow. Here’s to that continuing as I re enter my studies late next year, because there is two investments you can never regret; one in your health, and two, your knowledge. 👩🏼💻✈️🙌 Im buzzing to return to study dietetics, and utterly terrified. 🙋🏼♀️
Here’s to building brains and building booty😛 And never going back to below 42kg. I hope my way of living continues to inspire passion, wellness, self love, and hard work that eventually pays off (even if it takes doing the somewhat wrong college degree initially and competing in a physique competition to find your path). EVERY stage you enter, fall at, climb over, succumb to; builds your character, your knowledge, your worth and your story. Your life. Build you best life, and your body 🤘 #Progress#Throwback#WhoThat#Transformation#WUTWUT
Crested Butte Santa Ski was a whole lot of fun. Do you think we broke the record? #onlyincrestedbutte
I know that it may seem hard to believe, but people in the fitness world deal with the same kind of poor body image and insecurities as those that have never stepped foot in the gym. It's rarely ever talked about and it's something most people with a six-pack will rarely admit, but the self-consciousness and self-doubt run deep. For many, the day they decided to compete, was the day they will forever feel not good enough. Forever not muscular enough. Forever not lean enough. Forever not big enough. Forever not small enough. Forever not pretty enough. .
Although your newsfeed will be filled with countless skin-baring selfies and progress pictures... Behind many (maybe even the majority) of those perfectly lit portraits, is someone who can't pass a mirror without looking for imperfections. Even though to you, they seem flawless... In their own mind, what they see... Is simply not good enough.
I can speak from experience in these feelings and it's taken a significant amount of mental effort to turn my "forever not good enough" into "perfect does not exist." I choose to train for my everyday life because it challenges me to look past my reflection in a world and industry that puts so much emphasis on what the eyes can see. .
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... It's up to you to realize, you are the beholder. ✨

Pictured is one of my brothers and his family. His wife Yvonne and I embarked on a raw vegan lifestyle just ten months ago. Unknowingly to anyone outside of our immediate family, Yvonne had been told she has lymphoma. Naturally the surgical oncologist wanted to do emergency surgery and remove several lymph nodes. She wasn’t going for it! She knew that there was a safer and natural way to fight against cancer, and so she did and I joined in to support her. This road has been life changing, eye opening and has brought she and I closer than we have ever been before. I love her so much. She is now furthering her treatment with the amazing doctors at New Hope Medical Center in Arizona. If any of you have fought against cancer or have a family member who has, you understand the financial burden. I have started a gofundme page for Yvonne and ask for your support. No donation is too small and is very much appreciated. You can click the link in my bio to donate. I also ask for your prayers!
Because the little things matter 💕
45 degrees in Florida?! Perfect weather to snuggle up and relax❄️
Tonight, I am grateful for:
❄️December snow and the magic of watching my boys play in it.
👖A dryer to deal with the mountains of snow clothes that enable the magical play time.
✈️Air travel that allowed a long-overdue visit this weekend with a dear college friend.
🎄A house that's _almost_ fully decorated for Christmas, inside and out (pretty impressive, considering there were still pumpkins on my front porch on Friday morning!) 🙈
💍Getting news today that my cousin is engaged (can't wait for this wedding and so ridiculously happy for these two!).
🛏 A cozy bed at the end of these long, full days and the gift of deep, restful sleep.
👊That my parents raised me to not be a quitter. Even when I want to quit, I just can't. 🌱That through hard work and something I believe in (natural health) I have been able to build and create a home-based business. 👫That I get to see friends and family feel better on a daily basis because they are taking charge of their health.
So. Yeah. Grateful.
Are you living your fullest, healthiest, happiest life? If not, it's time for change...REAL change, not "can I get a quick fix 30 day change?" December is an amazing time to make a change and to gift yourself. We have the most amazing group of supportive people and the most amazing products and business out there. All that's missing is you!

My personal tip: Add a drop to your favorite smoothie recipe for a refreshing twist and during cold days peppermint tea, add a drop in a cup with hot water and enjoy. ✨

The average American consumes 22 teaspoons of added sugar a day, which adds up to an extra 350 calories. While we sometimes add sugar to food ourselves, most added sugar comes from processed and prepared foods. Balance is key in living the healthy life you deserve!
Prayer is a form of positive thinking. It changes your attitude and allows you to have the hope that things can & will get better. It creates good intentions followed up by positive actions.
It's very common for people to think that they don't know how to pray or that they have to be religious to pray. During one of the hardest times of my life, I realized that prayer can be practiced in many forms. I was talking to God, the universe, my angels in heaven...asking for a miracle. My angels on earth that I am so lucky to call friends & family were holding good thoughts for me. I was meditating twice a day. Each night before bed I prayed to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker off of a Russian Orthodox website (I'm not even Russian...🤷🏻♀️). My point is, you don't have to participate in organized religion to pray. Whatever feels right for you, do that. Just be consistent in recognizing your intention.
Don't knock the power of prayer. When enough people are holding on to a good & positive thought, you have to trust that the universe, God, the angels, whoever it may be for you...will respond.

Christmas Punch with a Punch!
4 cups brewed black tea
1 ¼ cups Coco Treasure Coconut Sugar
¾ cup fresh lemon juice (about four lemons)
1 cup fresh orange juice (about three oranges)
2 cinnamon sticks
2 bottles full-bodied red wine such as a Zinfandel or Pinot Noir
1 cup golden rum
Place the coconut sugar and hot tea into a large pot. Add the rest of the ingredients except the wine and rum. Heat on low until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add wine and rum, continue to heat on low heat. The punch should be hot like a cup of tea or coffee, but not boiling.
Ladle into mugs and top with a dollop of whipped cream which has been spiced with cinnamon.
Garnish with slices of lemon and orange.
For a non-alcoholic version of this Christmas punch, delete the wine and rum and add 1 liter of apple cider instead.
I used to watch fitness people online for motivation. I was going to do it someday. I read all their tips, blogs, and recipes. I saved it all because I was going to do it. Except I never did. It wasn’t until I became so fed up with being fed up. I had had a baby 3 months before, I was 40 pounds heavier, and PPD was no joke. .
Then one of the fitness people I follow put up a post that she was starting a new program and was looking for people to join her. I sent her an email and the rest is history. .
