We just finished up our time in Fjordlands National Park here in New Zealand. While there one of the hikes we did was the Routeburn Track in our own way. Instead of doing the 3 day hike over the pass and pay for an expensive shuttle we decided to do a more affordable and, for us, the more enjoyable option of just camping at the beautiful Lake McKenzie for 2 nights. We hope to go up to the saddle ( the High Point) of the Track on the second day but it Rained all day long and was a compete white out up high, so we e stayed at camp and enjoyed staying dry. On the last day we worked up at 5 am and saw clear sky’s so grabbed our day pack and set off for the saddle. On our way up the clouds in the Valley were still clearing from the previous day so we were given beautiful brief windows to look out of while we made our way up without any rain 🙏🎉. We reached the saddle, I summoned Conical Peak? We enjoy our time up there for a few hours then returned to camp, packed up and hiked out to the car. 🇳🇿 Trip update: We are now just over 1 month into our 2 month trip and it is time to start heading back North, back to Auckland to sell our van and fly home #liveyouradventure#ebcontributor @eddiebauer
Me, at this moment. Mountain fan girling hard: “Oh my goodness, it’s gorgeous. Can you believe these 36O views? I can’t even. Let’s adventure. It just goes on forever. Brad, isn’t it so cool we can see mountains in all directions??”
Brad, with a smirk and a casual bump to my shoulder: “Ya Bri, that’s what they call a ridge...”
A little over a month ago our friends @pureadirondacks came to visit us from New York. We toured around the PNW in camper vans seeing and doing as much as we possibly could. We had the best time and it was a trip none of us will ever forget. We hiked, beach combed, ate, drank, had camp fires and didn’t shower for seven days. We saw mountains, volcanoes, sand dunes, giant redwood trees, waterfalls and beaches. Check out this shortened video @evanwill24 made of our adventure! It is loaded with tiny moments from our trip and our smiling faces along the way - if you want to read more details about our trip and see the full length video - check out the link in my profile! @thepaulofthewild @evanwill24 @hilwill09 — #explorationunbound#vanlife#homeiswhereyouparkit#roamfree @nativeeyewear @llbean #pnw#pnwexplored
The Geminid Meteor shower is peaking tonight! This meteor shower is predicted to be the best of year, with 120 meteors shooting through the sky each hour, so you don’t want to miss it! It can be seen from all around the world so all you have to do is head outside (away from city lights, if you can) and look up 💫
This is Lhotse.
The summer after we rescued her was her first time in the Sierra.
We logged a lot of miles in a small corner of the John Muir Wilderness
because it was home to her favorite body of water.
Every time we would reach the 3rd lake in the basin,
She would leap around on the water’s edge for nearly 10 minutes, before finally romping deep into its icy blue.
One day, as we climbed up to the pass above the lake, a pair of hikers greeted Lhotse with cheers.
"You're the dancing dog!" one of them said, "we watched you from the summit! You were wonderful!"
Lhotse is 9 now,
and she still loves that lake the most.
But now, when we reach its sandy shore,
she slowly wades in and stands there, staring at the mountains to the East.
I know she remembers those wild romping days as fondly as she'll remember these quiet ones,
And I do too.
My dancing dog,
You are wonderful.
My first summit of an 8000 meter peak. Kangchenjunga, 3rd highest at 28,200', May 1989. With one of the truly great mentors of my career, Phil Ershler. A beautiful day. Little did I know this would be the first of 14. @eddiebauer #liveyouradventure#endeavor8000

We are enjoying the Thai culture! It seems the people have a love for life that overcomes all circumstances. They are also giving people, that will help out their brothers and sisters at any moment. Together the Thai people are strong!
MISO HAPPY ☺️✌️

It’s crazy to think how fast years pass us by. As we look at the last remaining days of the year, ask yourself did you accomplish all you set out to? Did you reach your goals and make new ones? Have you learned from your mistakes? Are you ready to begin a new year pursuing all your passions and living your purpose?
There is no better time than now to reflect on this and set your target for the new year. I’m excited for it...I hope you are too // #reflection#passionlovepursuit#inspired#dresspopseries

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me . . .
Austin! A 3 month old sweetheart who is full of fun.
You know what he wants for Christmas don’t you? To find himself a lovely home with a family to love him every day of the year.
Austin is currently being cared for by Sociedad Protectora de Animales de San Miguel de Allende, A.C. (Mexico).
