Furrowed brow is the new duck face. I'm just ahead of the curve. 🤦🤳
8 miles. My personal longest run. Not all that impressive, I know. But it is for me. When 6 months ago, running 3 was all I could muster. And it was mighty slow at that. I feel so good at the end of my runs now. Tired, sore, but always always always better, more focused, and overall balanced. When my emotions are ruling me, I run. When I feel depressed, I run. When I just feel bleh, I run. It's my escape. My time to tune my heart, mind, and body. Thank you thank you thank you Jesus for the incredible gifts you have given me!❤️💪🍑🌄
“What has happened to us. We wake up, day after day, silencing our alarms, only to forgo the inevitable -- another day spent chasing the monotonous security of our mundane lives.
Have we lost our sense of adventure? I like to think we haven’t.
I like to to think adventure lies dormant in each and every one of us, muffled by the norms of society, patiently waiting for a liberating spark.
That spark I speak of, the breaking point, a moment only the lucky ones reach-- a moment when everything goes quiet, when time, and with it linear thought, fade into nothing.
You live a lifetime in that moment. Each breath silencing your mind, and preparing your body for what lies ahead.
And then, it happens.
Like fire, adrenaline pulses through your veins. Your pupils dilate. Your hair stands up. You let go.
The mind and body now operate as a cohesive pair, bringing your senses to an all time high and allowing you to achieve things you’ve only dreamt of.
But this doesn’t just happen on it’s own. You have to create the moment. Search for it. Earn the adventure.
The day prior to this image, @andrew_veith and I spent the night hunkered down in our tents, pummeled by high winds and low temps. But, we awoke to a scene from a dream -- perched above the cloud deck, we had 9 inches of fresh powder and not a soul in sight. Pictured here, is the result of our decision to pursue adventure. The black spec is Andrew, in #fullsend past illumination rock; en route from the summit.
It would have been easy to stay home that day, but adventure, like life, will not wait. It’s on you to make it happen, and that's exactly what we did.” // @pat__duffy
I love national parks and explore a bunch of them in the US - currently In Grand Teton and Yellowstone NP 🐻(See my IG story) - So obviously it's a must when I travel anywhere outside the US as well. The turquoise waters of Soca river in Triglav National Park in Slovenia are absolutely gorgeous 😍 We drove down to the valley after exploring the mountains and came to this neat little camping spot along the river. Wish I had known of this place earlier, would definitely plan a few nights camping near the river 🏕 If you are planning a trip to Slovenia, research the various camping sites in this area so you don't miss out on the beauty of the Soca river and all the fun rafting activities.
“Costa, that random nut / fruit you just found in the runoff stream is not for eating. And neither is that water or sand or shell or dog poop or stick or plastic.....” No one said traveling with / raising a little human would be easy, in fact my mom has always said being a really good parent is just plan hard, but when ty says “give your mama a hug and kiss” in Spanish and you receive THE BEST snuggle sesh of your life, all that other stuff just seems to disappear. (Well at least until the next omg moment happens.) ☺️#voyagersfound
don't let the expectations and opinions of others affect your decisions. you'll be living their reality and their prescribed path, not yours. never explain yourself to anyone, you don't need anyone's approval. the more you love your own decisions, the less you need others to love them. live your life the way you want and do what makes you feel alive and happy. ✨💭
Time to get to work again...
Last night when looking for a place to stay, I wasn't paying attention and I was tired so #shithappens in the #desert in #iran#believeinyourself and after 3 hours of digging, I got out. 💪🏻🚐🌍

“I am not waiting for a hero. I saved myself a long time ago. I don’t need someone to complete me. I am whole alone. I just want a weirdo to go on adventures with. Someone who will dance with me, kiss me when I least expect it and make me laugh.”
I am afraid of heights. Especially when you put me on top of a mountain ridge surrounded with a few hundred meters of falling distance on all sides.
Yet, for some reason, some of the most beautiful things happen to be just on on the other side of fear. This mystical and unreal view of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is one such reward.
However, it is not enough to just be brave. No. You also have to be smart and make the effort to wake up just at the right time and very patiently wait for the sun to be just at the right angle to capture that cherry on the cake – the Lord of the Rings-esque rainbow.
