Being a #local means you tend to ignore what is right on your doorstep. But you'll never look at #Dublin in the same way again after the #paranormaltour .
Almost every #city in the #world can lay claim to haunted tales and rumblings of paranormal activity #spooky enough to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand.
But few have a #history of the #supernatural as #terrifying and spine-tingling as Dublin.
And what better way to uncover exactly what goes bump in the night than with a #Stroll Dublin After Dark: Untold #Tales of the Paranormal tour of the capital.
Our #tour wasn't exactly after dark as it was a nice summer evening when we embarked on the stroll with guide, Jack.
But it was scary nonetheless as he regaled us with tales of the supernatural from down through the ages.
It's a common assumption that city tours are only for #tourists , but this is one tour that will definitely enrich the lives and knowledge of even the most Dublin of Dubs.
The tour kicks off outside Bull and Castle in Christchurch and you're immediately pointed to exhibit A: the Lord Edward pub which is rumoured to be haunted.
Just around the corner where the Hellfire Club used to be - bet you didn't know that - and a meander down across Dame Street brings lots of spooky tales.
The headless horseman in #TempleBar - no, you weren't just drunk - the Olympia Theatre with its dark tales from years gone by, and Darkey Kelly, the brothel-keeper turned serial killer who was burned at the stake in 1761.
Even a quit #pint in the Brazen Head pub could leave you with the ghost of Robert Emmet sitting down beside you.
One of the most unique elements of the tour is that it ends in the Cobblestone bar in Smithfield, where you all share a drink and a few ghost stories of your own.
The tour is year-round, although its impact might be felt most when it is actually dark outside. But since it's not your average cheesy, man dressed in a white sheet kind of #ghost tour, it's a thoroughly enjoyable experience whatever the season.

Did you know I also offer private sewing classes?
Today Sarah chose this beautiful fabric, cut out the skirt body and the contrasting pockets, sewed in all in place as well as fitting it and hemming it.
What an amazing skirt...look at that pocket detail - and all in a couple of fun hours!
