I picked up our second box of Honey Crisp apples the other day from the farmstand. I wait all year for these; they are the best!! We literally each eat an apple a day at our house. We have so many local orchards around here. That's one thing I love about our area--so many crops, fruits and vegetables are grown here. When Mackenzie was little we always got Scholastic book orders through our Mother's Club, and I would pick up the seasonal books. This is one of them and all of my kids have loved reading "Apple Picking Time" every fall.
Yesterday marked the 3rd time I've taken all the dishes off my open shelves and ran them through the dishwasher. I'm ready for the remodel dust to END!
I still love my shelves though, even with the dust. The boards are old floor joists from my grandparents home that my parents remodeled and had to remove/replace over 20 years ago. They've been sitting in my parents barn in the old cattle feed area waiting for me.
I still have all the trim for the windows/doors and the base board to cut along with tile for the wall with the open shelves. Wonder how many more times I'll take all the dishes off and wash them before I'm done? I'm guessing at least 2 more times!
That cantaloupe is from my garden.....hope it's ripe! First time growing cantaloupe.
