M and I went and floated at Deep today. Floating is a great way to recover quickly from training/competing (I floated 2 days after my 110 mile race and was ready to ride that very next day). It's also wonderful in a therapeutic sense for anyone suffering from anxiety/depression. M loved it and I think it was the first time she didn't utter a word within a 45 minute time span! (Floats are typically 60-90 minutes long .... she got antsy at minute 45...I was betting on minute 20 so I was actually happy to made it until minute 45!) Simple side salad ❤️ red leaf lettuce, spicy mustard sprouts, tomatoes and green onions. Easy as 1, 2, 3. 😋oil-free dressing can be as simple as balsamic vinegar, apple cider vinegar or lemon juice, dijon or yellow mustard (optional) and maple syrup. I use homemade no-salt seasoning (dehydrated and powdered celeri and papaya seed). Learn to "cook" with whole foods ❤️
⭐️One of my staple meals: Pad Thai❤ Ingredients: kelp noodles, spiralized carrots, spiralized zucchini, sweet peppers, red cabbage and green onion. This time the sauce was 1/4 cup almond, cashew or peanut butter, 1 tbsp tahini, 1/2 cup orange juice, 1/2 cup apple juice, juice of 2 limes or 1 lemon (about 1/4 cup), 2 tbsp coconut aminos/tamari/braggs, 1/4 cup hemp seeds, 1 tbsp dried ginger. Add chili flakes to taste. To reduce fat intake, reduce hemp seeds and nut butter and add mangoes and/or peeled zucchini to get a creamy sauce 😋 ALWAYS DELICIOUS!! ❤️
🍎Made a smoothie and cut an apple for my daughter as a snack, but she wasn't that hungry 🤔so I made myself a smoothie bowl with her leftovers 😋 I never made this before but it was delicious! ❤️RECIPE: smoothie: 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1/2 cup frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup frozen mangoes, add coconut water or apple juice to make it to desired consistency, added about 1/4 tsp dehydrated papaya seeds and 1/2 tsp alfalfa powder. Assembly: chop apple, chop banana, add raisins and dried mulberries. Mix and pour smoothie in the bowl. YUM!!! ❤️
