Going through the entire archive of Terra Flamma and coming across images that missed initial edits. Many of the selects were done in the middle of the night or while sleep deprived, so going back brings new images to the surface. A sobering walk down the rabbit hole. Over the last 5 fire seasons I’ve seen millions of acres burn, and it haunts me. As Norman MacLean said in his book Young Men and Fire, "I had once seen a ghost, and the ghost again possessed me."
Printing long exposure images is seriously time consuming, almost as much as shooting them! It took so long to perfect this imperfect print but I dare say it makes it that much more meaningful. I have three shots from this night at Seebe dam that I had matted in class and that's what I'll be sharing this week to celebrate (not so celebrate) the end of my darkroom class. #yyc#sait#darkroom#ilford#filmsnotdead#printing#longexposure#nightphotography#35mm
A very calm, serene evening at Lake Samsonvale just around the corner from my house. This involves standing the water for over an hour waiting and hoping for A nice sunset; alas! Nothing amazing but I like to think this shot works anyway.
Revised edit of my favourite shot from the farm. Missing that place just a little this time of year.. No more southern lights in the backyard!👎 Westbury Tasmania >
