I came outside to show Henry my new dress... He approves.. And then asked if I was going to put it on my blog or Instagram?!! 😜 I said probably, do you want to take my picture? Yes! And so He directed me where to stand and then told me to make a silly face 😝
Here in Brooklyn we got some snow and some real cold the other day, I am thinking it is time to make a new patchwork scarf, using some cozy woolens and fuzzy fleece. If you live in warmer places perhaps use some lovely linens instead . My very simple sewing pattern for this scarf is featured in my book : Lotta Jansdotter Everyday Style ... Perhaps you also have some feline assistants when making yours? , not so helpful , but very charming . #lottaeverydaystyle#lottajansdottereverydaystyle @abramsbooks
Another #esme ! It's the perfect thing to wear if you get to go on a pho date with a hot guy 😉
I'm super happy with it and wear it and the other one all the time!
I found this fabric in Morocco for about 2$ a meter. It's fairly thin and it frays a lot, and it's not even in my usual "color scheme," but I somehow got it into my head that I wanted to make this dress in this fabric texture/color. Would you believe I found the exact thing in a little stall in the market! I'm not sure what this fabric type is called, I just followed my instinct and it led me to success! I trimmed the sleeves and pockets in some cute 🐦 fabric I found at #valuevillage (📷 courtesy of my #instagramhusband )
Getting my inner LL Bean on making a HUGE Swedish canvas bag from @lottajansdotter new book #lottajansdottereverydaystyle Everyday Style #wilmatote . Cut this out on the delicious big cutting tables at the end of @sewtopia #sewtopianola#sewtopia yesterday so this is my official first Sewtopia finish. I can fit my sewing machine in here, a dog, several gallons of daiquiris, and prolly a load of laundry. I ♥️it already
Home inbetween work long enough for halfa coffee and to gaze at my unfinished #esmeblouse . Going to find some time soon, but first, it's an emergency, my 87 year olds are running out of teabags and god knows any British OAP cannot survive in a teabag-less state....so off I go #lottajansdottereverydaystyle#handmadeclothes
Lotta day today.
I purchased some Marrimeko and Ikea B&W fabric a couple of weeks back and was thinking of using it to make the tunic in Lotta's book, published a couple of years ago.
