UPDATE 9/22 SPARTY IS NOW LOCATED BACK AT THE TOWN OF HEMPSTEAD ANIMAL SHELTER, WANTAGH, NY 516-785-5220 😓
🆘URGENT LONG ISLAND NY: 7 year old Spartacus needs an emergency medical foster. Spartacus requires medication and TLC for epilepsy and needs to be the only pet in the home. Tragically, Spartacus’ mom - an amazing person who saves special needs dogs from the shelter - has been hospitalized with a serious illness. Family and friends have been working around the clock to care for Spartacus, but the situation is no longer manageable. We need a foster or adopter as there is nowhere else for Spartacus go. If no foster or adopter is found, he will need to go back to the shelter on Saturday 9/16.
If you can foster or adopt please contact email@example.com ASAP.
Spartacus is a pure bred Cane Corso. He is over 100 pounds, loves people, and needs to be the only pet in a home with adults only and a fenced in yard. Spartacus requires medication and TLC for his epilepsy.
Spartacus’ mom Sharon is a huge hearted lady with a special place in her heart for giant dogs. She originally rescued Duffy, another giant dog, from the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter when he was suffering from cancer. Her whole world revolved around him. When Duffy succumbed to his cancer, Sharon, who knew all about a dog named Spartacus at the same shelter Duffy came from, said “Bring me Spartacus.” Spartacus was Sharon’s life and she would change any of this she could.
