I took this lovely morning to reflect on my past week and fix the obstacles I hit and overcome them this week. I promised myself this morning that I will push harder in my workouts, I will eat cleaner to lean this #mombod , and I will STOP letting others' jabs at my lifestyle get to me.

Happyy Monday! Little update on where I am one week post vacation: when I returned home, I jumped right back into my normal routine- normal eating habits (intuitive eating focusing mostly on whole, high quality foods with some room for treats/ dessert every night), normal training schedule (4 days of lifting, 1-3 sessions of cardio when I feel like it). No scale for me- clearly after stuffing my face for two weeks, I was up several lbs, so no need to put a number to it and add any stress. Clearly after a week back to normal, I'm down a few again. Don't need a tool to tell me that as it just really doesn't matter. Finally, and possibly more importantly, I didn't let my vacation change anything about the way I handled my weekend. As usual, I went out and enjoyed myself. I had brunch, ice cream, drinks. It's summer- my favorite time of year in the city- and I don't need to "punish" myself for taking two weeks off by holding myself back from enjoying any single minute of the summertime. Remember that you don't need extremes to find your "healthy". You don't need restrictions to find your "fit". Tell me below,as I'm curious and want to discuss- what stresses you most about vacations/ being off your routine? Is it before (the anticipation), during (the anxiety over making the "best" choices in the moment), or after (the guilt)?
