seeking new heights in life means you gotta start from somewhere and go for it. Satan wants you to believe you can get stuck or take steps backward, but with God he's been teaching me i've never taken any step backwards. every step has always been forward toward his heavens // heart-set: seasons of isolation are in preparation for seasons of being called to GO. #uncommonlens “The wise counsel GOD gives when I’m awake is confirmed by my sleeping heart. Day and night I’ll stick with GOD; I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go.
I’m happy from the inside out, and from the outside in, I’m firmly formed. You canceled my ticket to hell— that’s not my destination!
Now you’ve got my feet on the life path, all radiant from the shining of your face. Ever since you took my hand, I’m on the right way.”
Psalm 16:7-11 MSG
⚠️ LONG POST AHEAD⚠️
Have you ever felt like you're working hard but not working smart? Or, maybe you feel like you are spinning your wheels and not getting anywhere. This is me, I can say I lost my peace, I lost my trust in people.
I thought about how our lives can be overloaded just like a computer. Sometimes, we try many different things to "reset" ourselves, but what we really need to do is simply unplug and let go of all the things that are overwhelming us, especially those in which we are NOT in control.
Today, was a much needed unplug from the grid. Just a long drive to a secluded place, to just be still and clear my mind. Where there were no outside distractions to allow myself to be set free from things that binded me negatively.
I am thankful for all the people in my life that has affected me in such a positive way. I was in a dark place, but each and everyone of you are the reason why I am still here ❤️
"I truly believe that everything that we do and everyone that we meet is put in our path for a purpose. There are no accidents; we're all teachers - if we're willing to pay attention to the lessons we learn, trust our positive instincts and not be afraid to take risks or wait for some miracle to come knocking at our door." - Marla Gibbs
