If you look at it from a physiological perspective - what our bodies are ALWAYS trying to do is keep us safe and protect us from danger (famine, starvation, etc). We can't get mad at our bodies for not doing what we want them to do! Don't blame your body for what's happening to it. Don't stay in that mindset where you constantly say "why isn't it looking like this? I'm eating this way - why isn't it working?" It's not your body! Your body wants to be healthy, well, and balanced. But you HAVE to do what YOU need to do to get it to that place. And if it's not getting there, it's a sign to try something else. Get off the diet rollercoaster, and focus on NOURISHMENT.
We have to love, care, and respect our bodies. Reset your paradigm.
SO much more in today's episode. Don't miss it!
Compliments to @aymay83 amazing cauliflower crust we made some cute little cauliflower pizzas last night, listened to Christmas music, and made cookies! These are perfect if you have little kids and were so easy to shape and make! 🎄🎄🎄
Oi pessoal turubõ? Hoje vim falar de uma fruta que eu uso pra vida! O LIMÃO 🍋 / • Uso pra tempero de salada, uso pra Suco, uso pra por em cima do filé ou do hambúrguer... e vou falar agora dos benefícios, que são inúmeros, anota aí! 📝📝📝🍋. • O Limão Ajuda a tratar a PRISÃO DE VENTRE ,pois estimula o intestino, especialmente se tomado com água morna logo em jejum;
• DESINTOXICA O ORGANISMO ,e ajuda a emagrecer e melhora a aparência da pele; • PROTEGE OS ÓRGÃOS de doenças degenerativas e infecções como candidíase, pois diminui a acidez do sangue. • Acelera o processo de cicatrização, por ser rico em VITAMINA C;
Gluten-free porridge oats on the couch - it’s too early 😴. Cooked in unpasteurised goats milk with a table spoon of grass fed unsalted butter - melt this down & let the porridge cook away. I added a teaspoon of cinnamon, vanilla and honey. Oats isn't something we have loads of, because (like other grains and legumes) they contain antinutrients which contribute to leaky gut - cause inflammation, weaken the immune system, and trigger my autoimmune issue. Oats are also often contaminated with gluten from contact with other crops, so we always buy "gluten free" oats.
I thought maybe it was time for a reintroduction of sorts, since I've gotten some new followers.
I started my low carb lifestyle in April of 2016. It took me 16 months to lose 72lbs and reach maintenance, which I've been in since August of this year. I am 5ft 5in tall and my weight fluctuates between 105 - 108lbs. I track calories and net carbs only, with my daily goal being 1200 - 1300 calories and 20 - 25 net carbs. I use MyFitnessPal to track my food. I have not really exercised through this entire process, but try to be as physically active as I can in my day to day life. I live in the states, on the east coast, and buy a lot of my low carb products either in my grocery store or on Netrition.com.
I think that covers most of the frequently asked things, but feel free to send me a message with any questions!
