Egg rice - like a Japanese style carbonara. Very balanced and flavoursome. All just worked together.
Japan - Classic set with some really good flavours. In particular I really loved the deer miso, struck a perfect balance of saltiness and sweetness.
Paris - crunchy "Pari Pari" texture from the Roasted rice which worked well with the sansho oil and salt. Lots of fun.
Manhattan - good flavours all around and balanced out the other rice dishes by adding a wet element. All in all a good "world tour" at Nakahigashi.
Strawberries - best I've ever had. No need to do anything to them when they have that much flavour. The amazake worked well with it and made for a fitting end.
Overall an amazing experience to dine at Nakahigashi. From the amazing food to the jovial atmosphere and great service from the master, definitely a place worth going to.
How did my husband get so good at making rainbow food?? 😍🌈🥗 ps I got so many comments yesterday from people wanting the recipe to my caramel cups - which is so lovely because I was worried that they wouldn't look lovely enough! So thank you for seeing the inner beauty of that delectable chocolate covered caramel goodness!! 💕🙌🏻💕🙌🏻 And I will send the recipe through today 😋😋😋 have a bright, rainbow day, you beautiful people ❤
