I guess, some elements are a perfect fit in the decor palate like the pieces of jigsaw puzzle. Have been meaning to add this lil piece since we moved in... This art completes us. The Bong touch, I call it.
May Maa Durga bless us and our home with love and joy.
Kyunki, har ghar kuch kehta hai
Krishna Paksha Chaturthi is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and devotees observe Sankashti Chaturthi Fasting on each Krishna Paksha Chaturthi. However Krishna Paksha Chaturthi during month of Magh is also observed as Sakat Chauth and it is observed mainly in North Indian states. Sakat Chauth is dedicated to Goddess Sakat and women observe fasting on the very same day for well-being of their sons. The legend of Sakat Chauth describes compassionate nature of Maa Sakat (Maa Durga)

2017 was a break-through year for me. I chose this picture because it has me with children, flowers and smiles - a few of my most favourite things.
I also chose this picture because it shows me embracing my femininity , which is exactly what I did this past year. This year, not only did I acknowledge and express emotions; I listened to so many women of all ages and their stories. I looked into their eyes, I shared laughs, tears, hugs, meals, squeals, sass-notes, a pat on the back, a shrug, and so much more. Soul satisfying work.
I also got my root chakra doing the cha -cha like a pro, which made me feel so connected to Mother Earth and it's raw beauty. I still remember the first day I actually started with Chakra meditation about 7 years ago and how far removed from reality I was. From that to a Mooladhar(root) spin-and-anchor deserves a bloody standing-effing-ovation and then some more! It's taken me years of relentless effort to find my centre and flow and I've held on to it so tightly because I fear I'll lose it; only to learn yet again that I must let it go to truly have it.
It was Maa Durga's energy that got the ball rolling this year but guess what I'm tripping on now?
Guru Gobind Singh Jee! - I've not been blessed by him in the past before (because I wasnt ready; there was actually aversion (with all due respect, Sir.)) and it's so exciting to experience masculine energy that's further going to solidify my spine spiritually, mentally and physically. In 2018, I'm going to internalize these two very different and powerful energies and become MAGIC.
Happy Twenty Eighteen-ing everyone! 💣 What are you planning on becoming this year ?
