I was recently at a wedding opposite Trim Castle. I didn't have an opportunity to explore it before the wedding started so I made plans to visit it the following day. Near midnight, my curiosity got the better of me & I slipped out unnoticed. I walked across the very wet grass and followed the walls of the castle until I found myself in this alcove near the tower. This archway fascinated me. As I stepped behind it, the full moon lined up perfectly. I stood in awe for several minutes, breathing shallowly as if not to spook the moment. My hairs stood on end. These are the instants I live for, standing in that moment all alone, whispering my admiration to 900 year old castle walls.
