How did you spend your weekend? Were you a couch potato Netflixing for 48 hours straight? Did you bar-hop with your best friends til you realized you didn't have any clean clothes, or food prepped, or your work done for Monday? Or did you go outside and conquer a new adventure?!
I've done them all, and each are necessary at times 😆. I believe in balance. Sometimes you're exhausted and need your rest. Sometimes you need to let go of counting calories, swearing off alcohol, and just let loose with friends. But I have to say.. Getting outside and exploring is the most freeing and rewarding! .
The fun of day drinking is short-lived. Putting your permanent imprint into the couch leaves you in the same exact place where you started, but doing a fun activity has countless benefits: .
▪️ Improves mood
▪️ Decreases stress
▪️ Relieves muscle tension
▪️ Increases circulation
▪️ Improves sex life ▪️ Weight loss
▪️ Brain health
▪️ Better sleeping patterns
The list goes on forever. Point is.. My adventures with @cbx718 are my favorite thing about our relationship. Finding new challenges and growing outside of our comfort zones together brings us so much benefit physically, mentally, and emotionally that I just want to do my best to share and encourage other people to experience life the way we do!! ✨✨
Yesterday's adventure began at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet. It was tons of fun, we bought lots of souvineers and best of all, a delicious, cold green coconut to drink. One lady tried to tell us the brown coconuts just had the husk removed. I may be a Haole, but I didn't just get off the boat. We found real green coconuts and they were great! (Green coconut is much less ripe, full of coconut water and the meat is a softer more gel-like in texture.) Lunch was at Aloha Salads, great salad with seared ahi. Back to Frost City for shaved ice cream, a second time. Then on to hike to Makapuu Point and lighthouse. The view was amazing, but the short side hike to the lighthouse is not maintained, is missing railings, and has dropoffs for several hundred feet to the ocean waves bellow. Scary! #frostcity#alohasalads#makapuu#makapuulighthouse#alohastadiumswapmeet
