There’s been too few kitten moments here lately! Only two more sleeps until we’re off to Sweden and I will miss this little one so much. Here’s her ”I might just be pretending to sleep to be able to steal your food when you’re not looking” face. Or maybe her “why does your face look like a phone?” face. Love the little quirks the most ❤️🐱❤️
A gorgeous evening with wonderful company! @emilyquinton is an absolute gem, with so much wisdom and kindness to share. Taking her course a couple of years back really helped shape how I use social media, and I'm so grateful for that. Two other awesome, talented friends pictured, who I 'picked up' at various markets over the years.
Wednesday female power quote on pink ✨ If you’re curious how it looks on the navy paper underneath I posted a video of that a little while ago 😊 white definitely pops more on the navy but I quite like the more subtle pink and white combination as well. We’re celebrating hump day with Freja crazily jumping around after her new toy (fur babies are not excluded on their human mummy’s birthday 🌸) Her mad jumping frenzy is captured in my story ❤️🐱
Trying to restore my inner zen after a frustrating afternoon. As I left home, the doors & windows across the front of my old temporary studio had been completely removed and I anticipated coming home to a brand new, electric garage door (ok, I was actually vv excited!). What I actually came home to was a large boarded up hole - a sort of post-inner-city-riot look....... ☹️. The company had mis-measured the door we’d waited 2 months for...... 😵 I had 2 choices - blow a gasket or stay calm. The company had 2 choices - show no sympathy & shrug shoulders or apologise profusely and work hard to find a solution. When things do go wrong, the first response drives me insane.... “sorry” goes a long way and is free. In this instance the company took the 2nd option, holding up their hands that it was entirely their mistake and saying sorry a lot! It’s hard to lose your rag when someone is apologising and anyway what’s the point....
If you’re running a business, how do react when things go wrong for your customers?
[Happy Diwali to everyone!!💛🙏🏽✨- Diwali is the hindu festival of lights & very significant. It's like Christmas for the christians. Earlier this year I decided to ignore the numbers on this IG account and instead focus on everything that is good with this amazing social platform. Like the fact that I have the pleasure of viewing some incredibly beautiful images, of meeting like minded creatives, of supporting others, or stumbling across some gorgeous items to buy and feeling part of a community who I find thoroughly inspiring. And this shift in focus has meant I enjoy Instagram now more than I ever did. The numbers go up and sometimes they go down, but in the end the community of people who connect with my work and like my thoughts stay with me and that feels like joy. Thank you to everyone who has shown me support with a comment or a like or a DM. It always means so much.
Jupiter entered Scorpio a week ago 🦂♏️ & its projected itself so vividly into my life . Jupiter governs higher thinking , prosperity , exploration and vivacity . Mercury also entered Scorpio today and this planet rules communication, coordination and expression . the intense sign of Scorpio reflects the shadow side , passion , death , rebirth and transformation . it's a very interesting and complex sign and in another week the Sun will also enter Scorpio as well . i'm juss sayin' ... this is some deep shit y'all - dead and center . usually i would hide or push aside such strong energy like this ; but the bull in me is so damn ready to harness and grab it and use it for the greater good . i've done so much accepting of my darker sides this year , without the deep depths of the darkness i experience i wouldn't be able to express the absolute brightness that is my light . the full spectrum yin & yang . this life is yours for the receiving , what will you do with it ? how will you give it back ? go within , it's there you will find what you seek . be clear in your endeavors , gain clarity with your inner voyage . make space to experience what it is you need to learn in this current chapter of your life . let this wisdom ripple into all other areas of your existence . are you following your passions ? shed light onto whatever it is that brings you joy, that makes you feel alive . we are forever evolving & transforming , so be sure you are being true to yourSelf along the way ~ Sat Nam my fellow starseeds ✨🕉✨ #IndogoChild#astralizeyourlife#insight#jupiter#scorpio#mercury#transform#FullSpectrum#MakeLight#StayTrue
Three days after my sister’s birthday, or rather four years minus three days before my sister’s birthday is my birthday. When I was little I used to be very annoyed with her for hijacking my birthday (especially since she was a super premie and supposed to wait until after Santa had come to see me...). But as we got older it’s been very cozy to celebrate our birthday’s together. And our parents have taken us on some incredible trips to celebrate and spend quality family time together. This year I’m celebrating in London for the first time since I moved here. I’ve been spoiled with lunch in flat iron square, lots of chocolate and cake and in case I was still hungry Alex treated me to a wonderful veggie/vegan meal at Mildred’s. It was A M A Z I N G. Although the veggie fake chicken was a bit too realistic for me 🙈 also the best birthday gift is on its way to me, so more about that later ✨ let’s celebrate the end of a lovely day with a beautiful love letter written by Elizabeth Barret Browning to her husband after they got married in secret. Couldn’t resist brush lettering it. Love letters is a wonderful subject for calligraphy.

This picture was taken when our American cousin came to visit in the summer. Not that it was summer like when she was here 🙄 Loved it all the same, our green fields, cosy villages and picture box buildings. What was lovely was finding these beauty spots first ourselves to share and enjoy.
Blood, sweat and quite a few tears to get here today • but finally organised and dusted down my office x • found Dads old camera and got my tripod out... sadly I don't think the camera will do for my food photography but a little trip down memory lane.... hence the tears ⭐️
Placecard details with the most beautiful pale blue ribbon from @pompomblossom ❤️ I’m currently multitasking planning a ski trip with Alex and cuddling with Freja. Trying to inhale her kitten scent so it sticks with me for the week we’re away 🐱❤️
Some hydrangea love with my hand dyed muslin using herbal tea, strawberry and raspberry, I am delighted with the colour ! I had the idea after reading an e book from the lovely @botanical_threads , although her book is using avocados, I didn’t have any, but plenty of herbal tea! Voila, so easy to do thanks to Alicia’s straightforward approach!
