• Blessed are the Peacemakers • Today my feed has been flooded with doves, peace signs, and anti-war images. Anti-military rhetoric is often not far behind. The pervasive stereotype is that the men and women serving our country represent the opposite of peace: everyone's a hyper-macho warrior who just likes to blow things up. And while that definitely is a necessary part, it's certainly not the whole. .
My dad served 30 years in Army Reserve Civil Affairs, and has been all over the world leading reconstruction and humanitarian efforts with local leaders, and training other militaries in Civil Affairs. My father-in-law served over 30 years in the WA Air National Guard, leading efforts to keep our local communities safe and respond to natural disasters, notably the Oso Landslide and historic wildfires. They both devoted their lives to serving others, as have my brothers and husband. .
Here's the thing though, no matter how much the majority want peace, there will always be evil. The Hitlers and bin Ladens of this world don't dialogue or negotiate, and no amount of John Lennon or daisies will change that. But thankfully for us, there ARE hyper-macho warriors (who like to blow things up) constantly keeping watch and willing to jump into the line of fire so we don't have to...and I can't think of anyone more committed to ensuring peace than that. ✌🏼
Loving this perfectly positioned chem trail. Sending a smoke signal for peace from Bagend - probably @ the heart chakra of the world.
I hear it's International Peace Day..... Its a once a year thing? Perhaps that's where we're going wrong...
Make it a constant motivation y'all - a 24/7 kinda thing. * Where the attention goes the energy flows *
Just Imagine.... Imagine all the people.... imagining peace.... When the power of love overcomes the love of power....then we shall know peace.
Thanks John & Jimmy - it seems we are still figuring this out but we'll get there #ibelieve
Om Shanti x3.
Om shanti - make peace within and be free from suffering caused by ourselves
