“This stuff is awesome! Having used mainly oils in the past to help tame the beard, Mable Lee is a welcome change. Being here in the dry, cold Midwest, this has helped to keep the beard soft and moisturized, while also cutting down on the dry skin underneath the beard. The scent may seem a little strong at first, but once you’ve worked it in, it becomes a lot softer. All in all, great product!” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -wmwickey
So, yesterday was radio silence on here and I apologize for that. My mum had a medical emergency and I raced her first to urgent care and then at their insistence, to the emergency room. I left my house about 6:40am and didn't get home until close 5pm so I was too tired to do much besides eat some dinner and fall into bed. But the good news is, my mum is going to be ok. She's still in a lot of pain but she'll live through it.
So today I'm heading back up the mountain to take care of her and take her to another doctor appointment. In the meantime, enjoy this little newsboy hat. You can find it (along with a bunch of other cute hats) at the link on my profile page! Did you know we also have an etsy shop? Just search forest farmhouse and our shop will pop up!
Last year, it was this exchange that infused my making desire with excitement and love. I was feeling underwater as a new mama to a wee boy and the thought of someone around the world making me a gift with their own love-filled hands was so moving. I'm happy to be participating again! I'm thrilled to plan my gift for my Valentine and so excited to send it off; full of love.
Today’s #crafticwashidoodle is an envelope because... I’d like to invite you to the first ever Craftic Valentine’s Day card swap!! 💌 The gist: you make & send 3 cards/postcards and you’ll receive 3 handmade cards/postcards. That simple! To sign up, go to the link in my profile. So, who’s in? ✋🏼
I had so much fun cutting this piece out on the scroll saw, really felt that this is the path I want to take with my craft. My aha moment if you will, any of you talented people get a moment like that?
I'm pretty sure designing has more to do with frogging than it does with knitting most days 😂🤣😂 Maybe it's just my style - I swatch a little, then dive in 😉 I'm sure I could do more math in advance, but I really just need to see how things work out for real!
How does it work when you make a new design?
We’re prepping for another snow day tomorrow 🙄 ❄️ and I’m swooning over this quilt made from fabric by the super talented @nouveau_bohemian 😍 Quilt is available in my shop! Don’t forget: 20% off coupon can be found on @ellewoodsco ‘s page! 👌🏻
The sun is shining on this rainy city!! Man it feels good. In light of this new development (My punny husband would be proud of that one), I thought I would re-feature my sand jewelry! If you have sand you have taken home as a souvenir from a dreamy ocean vacation, why not have me make you something from it? All of my settings and beads can accommodate sand inclusions. Pair them with some seaweed, flowers, flecks or stones and you have yourself a beautiful, wearable and totally personal to you, souvenir!
Brittany here, from @loandbeholdstitchery 😊 .
I first started quilting about three years ago in remembrance of my sweet grandmother, Lois. She was a very talented quilter and made dozens of cherished heirlooms for our family. When she passed away I inherited her sewing machine along with all of her quilting notions. I taught myself the in’s and out’s of the craft as a way to honor her memory. Now I quilt almost everyday and love to carry on her legacy. The phrase Lo & Behold combines both of our names, similar to how my quilts merge the traditional art of quilting with modern design.
In the studio today working on more tumblers! 🤗
But for now here's one from the last batch that I really love! ☺️
What designs would you like to see on this next batch? I'm considering trying out some ombré designs on the red clay! So keep an eye out!
So many ideas, so little time. 😃🍃✨🌿😀

Art Bar✨. Oh my to this inspiring view of sculpture gardens and surrounding architecture. 💛
A pleasure to be and create with some of our favorites @leelalenoury. These 3 dug right into open ended bits of this and that (paper, cardboard, straws and fuzzy wires). 💎they each created project take home kits through self direction 💪🏼💛. While the adults were set Free and a flame by the Louise Bourgeois Exhibit 🔥 ........ can’t say my minis enjoyed- even though we prepped.
May have been our least easeful trip to a museum- Moments of littles with big feelings not feeling what mama wants to do. Displaying feelings to steer our ship- but through the grace of our friends we turned round right. 💋💜 The child who struggled the most asked to come back - so I’d say that’s success✨.
I’ve held a lot of fear of my children melting down in public. I’m happy to say we are finding ways to organizing our butterflies. But not before plenty of what feels like mortifying moments where fear of what others appear to be thinking holds wee bit too much power. .
I’m taking over my friend, @ellewoodsco’s Instagram account for the day! Danielle is living it up on vacation in Japan 🇯🇵 and when she asked me to do this of course I said YES! Her woodworking skills and modern designs make my quilty heart SO happy! I mean look at it 😍
Head over to her page to see more of her amazing pieces as well as some other talented ladies who are taking over her page while she’s gone. I’ll also be sharing an exclusive 20% off coupon code on her account later today, so stay tuned 😊
Hi there! 👋🏻 my name is Brittany from @loandbeholdstitchery . I am excited to take over Danielle’s account for the day! We met at a local makers market (@raleighmakersmarket to be exact) and we immediately hit it off. We’ve traded not only tips, advice and encouragement for our businesses, but a few of our handmade items along the way 🙌🏻
A little about what I do: I make custom heirloom quilts and I love every minute of it! I am super passionate about the tradition of the craft; and it is my aim to combine the heritage of quilting with contemporary inspiration. .
I’ll post a little more about me later in the day, along with an exclusive coupon code. 🕺🏻In the meantime, tell me a little bit about you! 👇🏻 Do you have any heirloom quilts in your family?
I’ve been slowly working on some new pieces! Stay tuned 💁🏻♀️...All the necklaces in the first two pics are available! They measure about 36 inches long and are $42 each. Made with some of my favorite gemstones: agate, druzy, howlite, and sodalite beads. 😍🌟📿 #givemeallthebeads#needmoretime
