Happy Tuesday everyone! 💞 Watch how @lettersbyshells uses Kassa transfer tape to perfect her vinyl project! #kassamoment
When working with thinner material on my @ridgidpowertools 12" sliding miter saw, I prefer to score my cut first, then push through the lumber at an easy pace, letting the saw do the work. I find that I get a cleaner cut, with very little or no tear-out. Making window planters today! .
. 👇What are y'all up to?👇
Sound On* Love the chime at the end...@kregjig Accu Cut in your face! So easy to use. First time using it on any project was during this desk build. @ridgidpowertools cordless saw for the win too! Freehand baby!
So, I just “whipped” these up with a hand mitre saw, some craft store display cubes, and some crappy picture frames. I wish something like this was a thing, so I didn’t have to make them....but they don’t. Or I can’t find them 🤷🏻♀️. This is how I like to store my stamps so I can see them and find them easily.

Repost from @ourlittleplaynest STRAW TREE • Our Christmas straw tree! D first arranged the straws according to their lengths and inserted them into the “tree trunk” 🎄 Lots of learning involved as he was creating his tree: hand-eye coordination, concepts of lengths, problem solving, having patience! (video in the next post) Try this with your kids, you can adjust the height of the tree depending on their attention span 😅
What you need: straws of various lengths with holes cut in the middle, stick (I used a chopstick), playdough and container for support

Happy to report that after serving her last day at our #wildrobot#makerspace , Roz is officially retired. Her new home doesn’t have as many good hiding spots, but the holiday cheer can’t be beat (and I promise to keep her out of the clutches of #brianthecat ) 🎄😻 Swipe to see some of our #botinthespot greatest hits from the #twelvedaysoftechmas . The A in STEAM stands for art. Science, technology, and engineering, as interpreted through the arts with a focus on mathematical practices...I love integrating art. This year, so far we have focused on patterns in the sky, stars and their relative brightness, and now Earth's spheres and their interaction with one another. Our grade level noticed that students had a really hard time recalling information. We added a weekly poem to improve our students' study habits and memory. I choose poems that reflect our learning in science whenever possible. Drawing on the heart of the NGSS, I gave students a basic design for today's project, but put out a larger supply of materials and asked them to communicate one thing: texture. Isn't it amazing what they can come up with when we allow them to create rather than tell them what to do? #teachersofinstagram#teachersfollowteachers#nextgenerationsciencestandards#steameducation#stemeducation#classroomart#artclass#makerspace
Miss Conti @conticlassroom is making some awesome holiday #GreenScreen projects. We love this one with 🎅🏻. #DoInk
New post on the site about STEM, the what and why it matters for our kids.
💡💻🛠🔭🔬📐📦 Education is only part of the story to get kids (particularly girls) to think about getting into STEM fields. Play at home is a fantastic way to break stereotypes surrounding STEM fields and have fun.

Anita Goodwin @goodwinnovate has a new #GreenScreen project in the works and we can’t wait to see it! #DoInk

In the middle of exams it is nice to know that one can breathe and do something else for a few hours. Today I've been picking up my 3D-printed Twitch-logo from HiOA Makerspace along with some customized Cookie Cutters for gingerbread making.
We're planning on painting the Twitch-logo purple and adding purple led-lights to the back of it and hanging it on the wall where I stream 😍 I can also mention I'm delivering my final exam of the year in a few minutes, so tomorrow is my first official VACATION DAY. Man, 20 pages is...well Its hard work.
