Just a quick little tip.⠀
If you want to switch and ditch the lazy way grab yourselves one of these little castille soap bottles at target travel section. (#cristalsbrokegirltip after you use this little bottle refill it! You can buy two big bottles for $12 at Costco! Much cheaper than Amazon)⠀
It's so handy I just carry it around in my purse 😅 it's concentrated so I just use a couple drops to wash my hands. I also took it on my trip to use as a body wash. Sometimes I use it for shaving too 🤷🏻♀️⠀
Castile soap comes from coconut oil and is totally natural and a good option for those with sensitive skin. I love that there's a strong peppermint scent on this one but it's not fake peppermint so the scent doesn't make my head hurt! It comes in different scents too #wootwoot !⠀
Oh and in case these any doubt this isn't an ad. 😅 it's just really cool soap. 🤷🏻♀️⠀
Trying to maintain a plant based diet is really hard, especially when there's days that you just don't have time to or honestly feel like cooking.
It may not work for everyone, but this has helped me eliminate my "skipping food time" days. I just grab a few of my favorite (often new) fruits and veggies, add a juice to dilute consistency, and bam ⚡ nutritious goodness in my tummy.
Never really cared about investing in my health until I realised that;
a) it's so easy to choose flavor over ingredients
b) what we ingest is important for the nourishment of our "second brain", le gut.
c) disease aren't passed down genetically 100%. We are what we eat. Choose life 🌻🌿☘ This blend included: celery, kale, kiwi fruit, strawbabies, pineapple & nopal juice, and agave for little sweet touch 🍓🍍🥝
The dark green final look is from adding a fiber supplement.
You want to practice intentional gratitude but you don't know exactly how to do it. This free Gratitude Journal printable page will help you document your thanksgiving during this upcoming holiday season and keep it Gospel-focused.⠀
Psychologists found that study participants who keep gratitude journals are healthier both psychologically and physically. That's awesome! And it's not surprising since we were created for worship. As Christians, we need to always remember to direct our gratitude to the Giver of all gifts. This will glorify God and better satisfy us.⠀
Join me starting next Monday, October 23rd as I start a month of intentional gratitude journaling. Download the free page that I'm going to use and create your own journal before next week. (Video on Facebook)⠀
Do you already keep a gratitude journal? Are you planning to this season? What will you use? A separate notebook, your planner, IG posts? Tell me below.⠀
I saw flax crackers also called “flackers” in a store and I thought they were a good sub for people that don’t eat grains/are gluten free!! So of course I had to try to make them myself🎉😊 (also had to make them with hidden greens😬)They are actually super easy to make and less expensive then buying them👍🏼 Flax also has some very good benefits that you can read about on our flax post (look for the picture of flax on Instagram or look up “flaxseed” on our blog!)😉
1 cup flax, ground
2 tbsp. sesame seeds
¼ tsp. garlic powder
¼ tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. poppy seeds
½ cup water
1 handful spinach
¼ tsp. salt
1. Blend together spinach and water.
2. In a medium sized bowl, add flax and spinach mixture and let sit for 5 minutes
3. Preheat oven to 400F. Once the mixture is kind of gelly add garlic powder, onion powder, poppy seeds and salt. Mix well. Add sesame seeds and mix until incorporated.
4. Press down on a parchment-lined pan, make into a thin square. Using a butter knife, carefully cut the paste into medium sized squares.
5. Place into oven for 25-30 minutes or into crispy on the ends.
6. Let sit for at least 10 minutes and the break apart into crackers
Inhalation is simple yet so effective! Can't afford a personal inhaler? No problem! Put a few drops of essential oil on a cotton ball, place it in a zippy bag, and you have your own personal inhaler. Voila!
Prior to starting my own small business, I facilitated a number of different types of Make & Takes. It’s the perfect way to gather friends together and learn how to make something new. Last year we did candles for the first time, and it was such a huge hit, we are doing it again tonight! Next month, Dea from @sprigapothecary and I are hosting another awesome Make & Take at @saltboxbrewingcompany in Mahone Bay. Stay tuned for more details! 🕯
•soap• make your own! @thepureanadaboutique supplies these foaming hand soap bottles. It's easy to make a lovely chemical free soap: add 1tbsp Castile soap, 10-12 drops of essential oil + fill with water. Oh, and your bottle should have a cute label too...message me, I can help with that ☺️
YUUUUM🤤 Cheese cheese and more CHEESE 🧀 The Brick burger from @blazeburgers is a burger made from two grilled cheese sandwiches instead of buns 😱!! The best part was the crunchy burnt cheddar on top of the wagyu beef 😍🍔
My kids wanted Lunchables for lunch which wasn’t happening. So this is what I offered as an alternative that they were excited about: make your own pizza! Whole wheat mini bagels with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. It will most likely be messy but luckily it’s spirit day and they needed to wear red so it’s all good. #schoollunch#makeyourown#healthykids
