3 loads of CLEAN and FOLDED laundry done.
This lighting SUCKS in this picture.

I can be such a procrastinator... for example - putting away laundry. So annoying... doesn’t take long, but I hate doing it lol
.
Adaline has been testing her limits lately... in ANY way possible. Playing in the dogs water, throwing fits in public and standing up on top of her airplane 😬 (see Wray’s picture from yesterday).
.
In today’s world it’s so easy to make excuses and put things off. It’s easier to give up than to be uncomfortable. It’s easier to say, “Next time” instead of making the commitment.
.
I know because I did all of those things... and still put off laundry TODAY 😂
.
What I’ve learned is that I make time and give effort to what is truly important to me.
.
I stay at home as a full time mom but get up at 5 EVERY DAY to take care of ME. I put off laundry because playing with Adaline when she IS NOT in her sassy moods is more important than putting the clothes away. I use my “free time” when Adaline naps to work my business because getting those messages about people finally being HAPPY - is so worth it.
.
Life is crazy. It’s hard. There are ups and downs. But honestly, if you REALLY want something - you’ll do anything to get it.
.
So if you’re waiting for a sign to tell you to STOP procrastinating — here it is!

My cleaning tips:
1) Wear shoes (flip flops allowed 👌🏼) I HATE stepping on some of the dirt that I’ve swept up 🤢
2) Play Pandora so it can be a cleaning/dance party!
3) Take it one room at a time and keep your child in the current room... OR she will quickly undo all of your hard work 🙃

Lift Baby Lift💪

I hate running, I never used to like the gym either, all I ever wanted to do was play hockey. Fast forward 20 years, 1 major life changing injury,  being diagnosed with CRPS, chosing to leave your profession behind to prioritise your health, spending years, 9 to be exact, rebuilding a broken body to then falling pregnant, getting to experience what having a high risk pregnancy is all about, losing all the gains thanks to bed rest &  spending 1/4 of the year in hospital & still having ongoing BP issues, to now. I look forward to lifting these weights, I love the feeling of being strong & not having to relying on someone else to lift heavy shit cos I can do it, im no longer a prisoner in my own body.
As a mum, its hard to always prioritise your family's need because sometimes you need to put yourself first! You cant be of any use to anyone when your burnt out, when you feel like crap because you keep sacrificing the parts of yourself that you need to keep your sanity. 
So be selfish, take a few hours of the week for yourself, go do what makes you feel better,  you & everyone around you will be happier & mentally you'll be healither, otherwise you might just want to chuck yourself out the window once you've had enough! ✌

Today, it popped up on my Timehop from one year ago... taken shortly after having my daughter, in my room... ALONE.

I had gained 45 pounds... stretch marks and self-doubt all too quickly during those 9 months. You can see my self doubt simply by what I vowed to myself. I didn’t think I could reach my health goals.

If I vowed not to share this picture... why am I? .
Because if there is anyone out there who feels like I did - maybe is embarrassed of how they look... or they feel completely broken because of the negative thoughts that consume their mind... and I can help them - I’m going to.

Listen to me - Stop beating yourself up.

I made small changes and took my health journey day by day. I committed to 30 minutes of exercise every day, I drank my superfoods for breakfast and lived by the 80/20 rule.

I lost 60 pounds and 17 inches and ENJOYED the journey.

Guys, I changed my LIFESTYLE. I didn’t starve. I didn’t live on celery. I learned how to control my portions and used my accountability group for support to press play consistently.

It’s funny...my docs kept telling that my kidney stones wouldn’t cause pain until they moved...they were wrong!!! Once my body healed from the surgery, I have had no back pain! .

I wanted to hug the scale this morning when I saw 129 even pop up. My muscle definition has diminished so today I lifted weights for nearly two hours at the gym. I haven't done that in SO long and it felt so good to do it again. What I used to see- fat legs, crap hair, chubby arms, flabby tummy, premature wrinkles....... ......................... what I see now: strong legs - good for squatting, more arm to wrap my baby in or for him to rest his head on when he needs me, the place I grew my child, healthy hair, laughter lines, memories of good times, life experience............................... ............. it might be difficult for some people to understand where those thoughts came from, but low self esteem comes in all shapes and sizes, I spent an age in an industry where I was defined by my body, I was scrutinising, analysing and desperate to modify myself daily in an attempt to be accepted, I only saw the negatives and I couldn’t see passed what I considered the reasons I wasn’t good enough.... People now ask me if it’s tough working in the gym, there’s a presumption that I’m under pressure to look a certain way, that’s not the case at all, I’m interested in what I can achieve, how much more knowledge I can accumulate and how I can keep my body moving from now until I die, I no longer define myself by how I look and I no longer punish myself or make up for my terrible diet by emptying my bucket at the gym. I’m flexible with my workouts, I try to listen to my body and I know my worth is so much more than my aesthetic. We’re an aesthetically driven society and it’s bloody hard not to throw shade your own way every time you glance in a mirror. I read somewhere that for positive thoughts to manifest we have to focus on them for more than 30 seconds. So if you’re struggling with your body image, take a look at what you tell yourself every time you look in the mirror and try to flip your perspective. So here’s what I was going to say before the toddler took over 😂 (see last post) .......................................I’m really enjoying this one from the @thebarbellphysio and @the_movement_dr it is true that we tend to think if the hips are tight- stretch them.. but what often happens is the tightness returns and freedom of movement in the Squat isn’t always present. With this exercise the body is allowed to explore the movement patterns required to squat effectively and low, without having to drop from standing. The weight acts as a counter balance if like me you’re struggling with that bottom inch. I also feel this really opens up my ankle joint. I’ve been doing this for a few weeks now and have really felt the freedom. Here’s one I get asked a lot- I think the nature of our “all or nothing” attitude toward things often means that we decide we’re “on it” one week and go hell for leather on the nutrition, exercise and everything else, completely burn our selves out or get totally bored and give up.. then feel horrible guilt for “falling off the wagon” our lives are made of lots of different habits and habits can be good as long as they are serving what you need right now. here are some of my tips: ✅ don’t under eat - you’ll only binge at night ✅ eat nutritious foods that you enjoy, life doesn’t have to be all turkey, rice and broccoli from Tupperware’s unless that’s something you like to eat. ✅ prioritise sleep- this is a no brainier, we all feel and function better when we’ve had enough sleep ✅ allow yourself “treat” foods but don’t call them that, a little chocolate in your down time, a glass of wine, whatever you like, have it little and often as opposed to cutting it out completely for two weeks then eating more than you ever would to make up. ✅ don’t use exercise as punishment - you’re doing this to enhance your life not to make up the “slack” in your diet or elsewhere. Find something you enjoy and that makes you feel good. ✅ focus on YOUR OWN PROGRESS- one thing we tend to forget when we see someone smashing an exercise at the gym (or on instagram) is that we rarely see the journey, it’s your life, your body, your mind and that is NOT COMPARABLE to anyone else. ✅ be flexible with your workouts- do what works for you, on that day, in the time frame you have. Don’t feel like what you’d planned? Have a play around with something new, don’t have a lot of time? Go for a walk or take an extra lap with the dog/pram, something is always better than nothing ✅ allow yourself to rest- for most of us there is no sense or benefit in working out every day, twice a day, until we’re so sore we can’t do anything else- it’s not sustainable and even athletes have down time, In fact they prioritise it, muscles need rest days, the body needs to recover and also life is for living, keep the pressure off and your more likely to workout long term.
