My weight has been a battle for most of my life. As early as elementary school it was an issue. The kids used to call me thunder thighs and jelly belly back then.
I finally got my weight under control in my early 20s. But sadly I didn't do it the good way. I quite frequently starved myself all day so I could binge at night. Then I would punish myself for days by not eating much of anything. The cycle continued for a long time. Basically until I got pregnant with Tre. Since I didn't know how to eat properly I gained 70lbs.
After I had him I tried to go back to my old way of losing weight but it didn't work. Years of abusing my body had finally caught up with me. I lost maybe 15 pounds of that baby weight in 4 years. Then I got pregnant with Drew and added another 35lbs on.
Only when I finally learned how to eat properly did the weight start to come off and it didn't happen overnight. It has taken me two years to lose 65lbs. But slow and steady wins the race.
From the queen of crash diets and quick fixes, I can tell you they don't work. They may work in the short term. But in the long term you are doing much harm than good.
