"In life, it's not where you go. It's WHO you travel with." ❤️❤️❤️

🌴Maui is definitely one of our favorite places to be. We love going back there and have made so many incredible memories with each other and some of our children. We're always wishing to be there breathing that amazing Aloha air🌺 #verilymoment#tbt ❤️ #mauionmymind
Every year I feel we grow and year 5 was all about great changes; we both got promotions at our jobs, we moved into our home, I completed one of my accomplishments, we traveled, we laughed and loved. Thank you for being my best friend, my ride-or-die, my cheerleader, my husband, my prayer partner, my all. I love you to the moon & beyond, happy 6th Wedding Anniversary @patrickthagreat 😘🎉💍 #91011forever#gamblesontop#bestfriend#marriageisbliss#itsouranniversary#mylove#OurGrowthYear
I made this sign for my hubby as a gift a while back. It now hangs in
our bedroom and we take turns writing, "I Love You Because . . " notes to each other. This is the note that he left for me this week.
This sign has become a great
addition to how we express our love and appreciation for each other.
Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest impact. You can get one for you and your sweetie for free on the blog at the following link.
This was our first day of marriage. Doin my favorite thing ever, picking up sea shells along the beach. Whenever we walk along the coast, it always takes me back to this moment. And when we are old and no longer hot in bathing suits, I will still treasure this memory. Picking up sea shells on our first day of marriage....also I can't help but crack up at that smolder 😂 #showoff#cheesybutwhatevs#marriageisbliss
As we sit here, wrapped up in each others limbs, eavesdropping on the Mexican ocean make love to the shore, feeling every pulse of a beautiful tropical storm, and watching the night sky flash with a myriad of purple, pink, and blue hues, I am content, I am grateful, I am in love, I am love, I am in the arms of home. Call it luck or whatever, but the past six years of this marriage have been bliss. Somehow, the stars aligned just right, and out of the billions of humans in the world, I met him, the man I now call my husband, my best friend, my favorite human, and in a way, my own creator. His love changes me daily, it shapes me, it molds me, and it creates me. I truly believe that in choosing our spouse, we are not only choosing a person we want to share our lives with, or build families with,or discipline kids with, but we are also choosing us, the people we will eventually become. We are choosing the future version of ourselves. We are choosing the people we will change into. We are choosing a partner who will change us, create us, through the way they love us, serve us, believe in us, accept us. Their love is the potion we will drink daily, a potion that will transform us, build us up, nourish us, and cause us to blossom.
I could never relate to the common “hearsay” that “marriage is hard work”. Because in my case, it really isn’t. And I am sure many people will disagree, and they’ll have all kinds of personal experiences and stories to justify their claims, and even make it sound noble, but in our case, it simply isn’t true. Again, maybe it’s luck, maybe I just married a prodigy of a husband, but today, as we dipped our toes into year seven, it’s still bliss, we’re still in our “honeymoon” stage, and there is nothing hard about it.
In fact, marriage is probably the easiest, most enjoyable thing, I have ever invested myself into, and got the biggest return on my investment. It’s fascinating, it’s unpredictable, it’s fun. (Cont ⬇️)
Chris lined up my 4th & final date yesterday on our anniversary with this fine lady who delivered 13 roses. But the picture on the right is the more accurate reality of my every day life with 4 kids who are so excited for Kidz Kaboom that they got their own breakfast while mommy was in the shower this morning. @chris_d_griffin: get home soon! 🙈🤣😈#marriageisbliss#4kidslater#everydayjoys#cleaningupsoggykrispiesisanartform
