Summersalt —Chapter 1—
Dick's informants said that there was some assassin hiding in a Hotel by the beach so he decided to stay the weekend there and see for himself if this fact was true.
The route from the railroad station to the town where the assasin was staying passed close to the sea at several points. From the top of the cliffs he got a bird's-eye view of the summer ocean. The sea's surface was lit up by a transparent therefore barely visible incandescent glow. The bus ride to the hotel was a lonely one since there were no passengers except the Grayson heir.
The hotel was named "Sun of a beach" and arriving there he ordered a fine room in the hotel. Apparently the assasin was blending with the customers and Richard would have to possibly interact with as many people as possible.
He got his stuff delivered to his rented room and decided to go to the beach. There, he had been told, the customers swam everyday.
The male with blue eyes descended a stone staircase covered by grass and saw, on the other side he saw the expanse of the ocean.
He could only see the movement of coconut branches. The wind slowly made it's way towards him. It twisted softly from branch to branch, seeming to approach like an invisible small animal. The roughest blasts of wind that came at times were like the stomping charge of an invisible large animal. And to top it off the sunlight reigned strong upon all this.
As he made his way to the sand he noticed a few people laying on the sand, their silhouettes bathing against the sun.
He ignored their presence and walked to the rocks by the sea as the waves craftily came between the rocks again and again, the sea soaked him, then fell away from him again, and repeated this process countless times.
