Shorter days are here. I don't really mind though. Lately I tend to retire to a quite corner, with a book or some knitting, light a candle and sip some tea. I find it a great way to disconnect from the busyness of the day. Do you practice any "me time" at all? 🇪🇸 Los días se acortan cada vez más, pero no me importa demasiado. Últimamente he empezado una pequeña rutina: me siento en mi rincón favorito con un buen libro o con algo para tejer, enciendo una vela y una taza de té y desconecto totalmente durante media hora.

Welp...There it is in all its glory...my baby belly. I could go into a long spiel about loving my body and how amazing it is to have housed a tiny human but that's not what this is about. This is a body I am not use to and I am uncomfortable with what I see in the mirror. I don't say that for sympathy or for people to tell me to love my body. I do love my body and appreciate that it has given birth to 3 healthy babies. I am just being honest about the fact that I don't feel comfortable in my skin right now and I know I am not alone.
We get so many mixed messages about our bodies...you should be a certain size but when you are not that certain size you should still feel proud of your body but then here are all the products to fix all the flaws you should actually be proud of 😒. So many of us mommas, myself included, look in the mirror and don't like what we see. Then we feel bad for feeling bad about our bodies. We put on something that covers all our perceived flaws and makes us feel good enough and then we push those thoughts to the back of our minds and power through the day.
Frankly, I am tired of feeling that way and I am going to do something about it. I am doing a #momfitnesschallenge for myself and want to invite you to join me. This isn't about getting to a certain size or losing a certain amount of weight. This is about taking care of myself and feeling good about my body. Want to join me? I'll be doing updates every #WeightWednesday right up till Nov. 22. That's 2 months to make some changes. My first goal...drink water...at least 64 oz a day. Join me and let's cheer each other on. What's your #fitnessgoal for our 1st week???
