Just wanted to emphasize how small choices can add up really quick: ▶️ Calorie total for the unplanned snacks = 1,130 ❌ Yikes that's a lot for just snacks 🙀 ▶️ Calorie total for the pre-planned snacks = 484 calories ✔️ Now that's a total win 🙌 ▶️ Things like "whole grain" and "heart healthy" on the bag of sun chips are deceiving marketing terms based on faulty and outdated studies that make it seem like the healthier choice. The processed grains, cheap oils & preservatives still make this far from a good choice. ▶️ Reminder that many juices are sugar bombs 💣 If you bring a packet of protein powder, you can fill your shaker cup once you're through security and save time, money and your health 😜 ---

You can't go wrong with this yummy salad combo 😍 and with 9g of fiber your body will be thanking you 🙌 All the details below:

Veggies - 2 cups mixed greens, 1/2 an orange bell pepper and 1 cup mini cucumbers 
Protein - 4oz chicken seasoned with chipotle @flavorgod 
Good fats - 1/4 cup sunflower seeds which adds 204 calories and 18g fat. And adds a little bit more protein (7g) and carbs (7g) 
Carbs - 1/4 cup quinoa, 1/3 cup blueberries and 1 tbsp balsamic glaze 🤗
Calorie total: 485 ❤

M.s and lunch today. My mom is super stressed and I don’t blame her. Our laundry machine broke, our sink cracked and she ran into our mailbox! Now we have a huge gash in the side of our car and insurance won’t cover it!😤😱I’m starting to get really stressed to! What do you do to calm yourself in these kinds of situations?
Luna bar rating 8/10 It was good but a little though to chew. I prefer my bars soft and gooey. The flavor was very true to chocolate peppermint stick!💕😋

Half cup water(heat both in saucepan)
Tbsp peanut butter powder
2 Tbsp chocolate chips( don’t skimp out😋)
Mix all ingredients in saucepan on simmer until desired heat or consistency.
Place in bowl top with peanut butter chocolate chips and cinnamon! Or anything else you want.
ENJOY!!!❤️
TW; I lost a little weight at weigh in but my dietician trusts me to make up for it and go above and beyond on my meal plan without her changing my meal plan. One of my favourite meals to make when I’m short on time is spicy wraps.  I often make these on the days when the kids have swimming or ballet and I’m running short on time because they’re so easy to make!  I use lean pork mince which I cook with some garlic, crushed tomatoes, a can of kidney beans and some Sofia @mingleseasoning 👌 Then its simply a matter or preparing some filings and grabbing a packet of wholemeal wraps!  The kids enjoy making their own wraps too - which is always a bonus!

On my previous journey to weight loss, I learned that depriving yourself doesn’t help, at least for me. I tried the whole limiting yourself to eggs, broccoli, and chicken thing; and that just led to me bingeing and having uncontrollable cravings. 
Meal prepping and keeping track of macros helped keep me committed. By doing the work beforehand on a Sunday, my eating during the week is effortless. No feeling too tired to cook, no late night stops at fast food because it’s easier. Everything I need is readily available and portioned appropriately, which is especially helpful this time of year when it’s already dark by the time I get out of work and my motivation is at a zero. •

Porridge de quinoa y calabaza

Este es el desayuno perfecto para quienes quieran empezar el día con una dosis de energía de la buena. ¡Pruébalo y verás como cambian tus mañanas!

INGREDIENTES:

1 taza de leche de almendras

1 taza de quinoa cocida

1 cucharadita de canela

5 orejones

¼ taza de puré de calabaza

¼ cucharadita nuez moscada (opcional)

Sirope de arce (opcional, al gusto)

Toppings: Fruta fresca como persimón, arándanos, ciruela, nueces o lo que se prefiera.

INSTRUCCIONES:

Echar la quinoa cocida, los orejones picados y la leche en un cazo y cocer a fuego medio bajo removiendo de vez en cuando hasta que espese un poco. A los pocos minutos añadir las especias y al final de la cocción añadir el puré de calabaza removiendo todo muy bien.

Servir templado y decorar con la fruta y frutos secos elegidos.

Añadir sirope para endulzarlo más si se desea.

Se le puede añadir algo más de leche al final si se prefiere más líquido. **En esta receta utilizo quinoa que he lavado muy bien y cocido previamente en una medida y media de agua por cada medida de quinoa. Se cuece medio tapada a fuego medio hasta que se consuma el líquido, se apaga el fuego y se deja tapada unos minutos para que se acabe de hacer con el vapor que quede en la olla.

Granola de calabaza 
INGREDIENTES:

2 tazas de copos de avena gruesos

1 y ½ cucharadas de aceite de coco virgen

4 cucharadas de sirope de ágave crudo o de arce

1/2 taza de puré de calabaza (calabaza horneada y triturada sin más)

¾ de cucharadita de postre de nuez moscada molida

¾ de cucharadita de postre de jengibre molido

1 o 2 clavos machacados o molidos

¾ de cucharada sopera de canela molida

½ taza de nueces pecanas picadas

3 cucharada de pasas 
INSTRUCCIONES:

En un bol echar todos los ingredientes menos las pasas y las nueces y mezclar muy bien.

Extender en una bandeja de horno con papel antiadherente, e introducir en el horno precalentado a 170ºC.

A los 15-20 minutos, mirar y si ya ha empezado a perder humedad, dar una vuelta con una cuchara de palo o algo similar, echar las pecanas y remover de nuevo.

Dejar unos 5 o 10 minutos más hasta que la avena esté seca (siempre vigilando que no se queme)

Sacar del horno, añadir las pasas, remover bi .
