I’ve been fairly quiet about my struggles with eating disorders, largely because though diagnosed a while ago, it was never my biggest battle or the focus of my treatment until now. With much hesitation I finally started working with a dietitian in an outpatient setting for the first time about two weeks ago. Prior to this I had only worked with her at the treatment center I attended. My worst nightmare seemed to quickly come true. With the focus once again on food, I became incredibly anxious and fell back into behaviors. I’ve had many  many good things happen lately and have been much happier, but this is something I still battle which has been hard for me to wrap my brain around. When it comes to eating, I’ve been exhausted, overwhelmed, losing hope and honestly just wishing food wasn’t a part of life even though it’s brought me joy for so long. I snapped these photos this morning before heading out to see my psychologist, dietitian and attend my weekly support group. It was a heavy day and more draining than I expected. We dug deep and made some powerful insights so when I was told to step on the scale at the end of my dietitian appointment, I was completely caught off guard. I’ve been working hard not to weigh myself and hesitated when she asked me if I wanted a blind weight or not. I’m proud I held my ground and said yes, but did not expect the debilitating feeling that was to come. Even without seeing the number, I was incredibly overwhelmed and my eyes welled up with tears. I hopped in my car and sobbed while driving and waiting in the parking lot of my treatment center. I walked in a wreck but within fifteen minutes was laughing with my treatment friends treatment harder than I have in a while. On my way out I stopped and hugged an old therapist who honestly saved my life and walked out of there happy. For the first time in over a week, I am in bed and can say I ate three meals today. Has there been a lot of rain along the way? For sure, but there’s also been love. Love from others and more importantly, love you have for yourself, even when the rain makes that hard to reach. Because my god, every body is beautiful.

I usually enjoyed this with a side salad for extra greens! Steak is super easy to cook and doesn’t take that long to cook. I used salt and chili peppers to season this bad boy, along with some cumin and cayenne.

Week 2 of my program and I’m feeling good. Getting used to the eating schedule. I normally like to prep with a bit more variety in my meals, but with this plan so far I’ve found its most efficient to just plan a day of meals and bulk prep for the week. I threw in the macro breakdown again as well.
• Breakfast/post-workout: oatmeal with sun butter and berries, spinach asparagus bacon egg bake
• Meal 2: protein superfood shake with almond milk and 1/2 banana
• Meal 3: celery and garlic chive hummus [not pictured]
• Meal 4: turkey burger with cucumber, tomatoes and olives in Greek dressing • Meal 5: baked bbq drumsticks with broccoli and Cajun roasted sweet potato wedges

Week 2 of my program and I’m feeling good. Getting used to the eating schedule. I normally like to prep with a bit more variety in my meals, but with this plan so far I’ve found its most efficient to just plan a day of meals and bulk prep for the week. Kalau ada yang nak turun berat badan, amalkan 3 langkah mudah ini dulu:

✅ Minum air yang secukupnya. Setiap 25kg berat badan, perlukan 1liter air.

✅Bukan kurangkan makan, tapi makan ikut keperluan.
Bagi perempuan kalori intake sehari 1500 cal sahaja.
.
✅Makan ikut masa yang sesuai. Contoh, sarapan pagi, makan tengahari & makan malam ikut masa yang ditetapkan. Jgn lewat!

Senang je nak follow.

Post work out meal/dinner:  cauliflower rice, stir fry lemon ginger beef and choy sum and cucumbers.  People ask me why I don’t eat real rice.  I cut it out around the time I was pregnant 5 years ago when I was practicing low carb/diabetic diet (I had gestational diabetes). Carb counting and meal prep help me.  It was hard at first because I ate rice all the time!! Then one day I realize I did not need it with every meal.  Now I hardly eat rice and just eat a lot of veggies 😊🥒🥗

We made steaks with warm lemon salsa verde with a side of sweet potato and broccoli. The salsa verde was spicy and citrusy and had all those bits from the meat, and so simple. This time I added @traderjoes Everything but the Bagel seasoning and it took my salad to a whole new level. 
I am starting to find my groove in this Whole30 and I like eating healthy. I kind of like having an excuse for not eating all the snacks at work. 
But I am really craving pizza for sure. 😂 pizza is healthy if you add enough veggies, right?

I recently learned that gravity helps pull all of the juices from the bottom to the top of the pineapple. I’ve tried it multiple times now with green pineapples I purchase and within 2-3 days they are golden brown and turn out super sweet. You’ve gotta try it next time. So you are looking for a quick and easy lunch that helps you cut out a few calories, cut down on fat, but helps you get more nutrients, here you go! I was trying to get more leafy greens in my life last week and made these salads. I always do a carb with my salad and decided sweet potato would be easy and healthy. I did add dressing last week but I realized the salad is actually great with just the sweet potato mixed around in it like a dressing. Now if you don't like sweet potato you probably should have stopped reading already, but if you do, you might give this a try. 
Buy a bag of spinach, a bag of stir fry (or mixed) veggies, 1.5 lbs chicken, and 5 small sweet potatoes. Dump all veggies into 5 containers, cook chicken, add to containers. Then microwave, boil, or bake the potatoes. Add potato to lunches. Before eating heat said potato and mix it into your salad. The salad is no longer dry and doesn't have all the extra fat and chemicals of most dressings! Easy peasy!
